Cracking pics in that – it’s almost pornographic!
Don’t say that. My wife already thinks I have a fishy relationship with Spitfires 😀
Thanks for that – does this apply to both Biltema Spitfires?
Afraid not 😀
The first one they bought is meant for the Swedish branch. So Sweden would be correct in her case.
Thanks for the update, I was under the impression she was based in Norway and not Sweden.
Registered in Sweden, but it’s the Norwegian branch of Biltema that bought her. She’s meant for Norway. Both are correct, but I’d say she’s to be
put in under “Norway”.
Im no commercial aviation guy, so how can this happen???
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Happy new year!!!
folk really get bent out of shape over this, I mean, I’ve had photos nicked off the net before & used on other sites, really I do not give a monkeys.
Hear, hear.
I met one veteran once, and we spoke about pictures and credits to them. He didn’t even know you had to ask for permission or credit the photo in publications. He didn’t give a rats ass who used his photopraphs from the war, as long as it was for a good cause (books about veterans and the likes).
So I scanned his entire collection following another veterans collection. I have them on my PC. Lots of unpublished stuff. I even posted a whole bunch of them online. People started to call me about them, asking if I could share. At first I hesitated, as it was “my treasure”, but then I came to my senses and just shared and gave to anyone interested in this little special field of interest of ours.
FFS! you have been told MULTIPLE times that you do not own the ONLY copy of the print. It’s already in a frigging BOOK.
I don’t need to prove a damn thing to you. Stop being an argumentative prick.
Copies of photographs were shared around during and after the war. Several pictures I got hold of were just copies of other pictures. I’ve seen photos being credited to a wide range of people, from the air force to a family in Kent to some kid in Montana.
Think it’s quite settled now that this photograph can’t really be traced to the original source, so no need to plaster watermarks all over them. Spoils the fun!
Yep, like I said, you have all the rights to do so.
If what he says is true, he has all the rights to put his watermark all over the photo.
Then you may debate if it’s morally right to do so or not.
I usually refrain from going bananas with watermarks and copyrights on old or new pictures when used for forum usage like this. Especially WW2 ones as I think it’s a bit out of taste, but he has all the right do what he wants with it.
I remember, I came upon this guy who had plenty of pictures of the subject I was writing about a few years ago. I contacted him, asking for permission to use some of them. The guy was quite rude and even demanded that his webmaster would get a free copy of my product since “he put them online”. So I simply brushed him off. His loss. If one or two of his photos had been used in my book, he would be thanked at the back of the book (even with his URL) and get a free copy. But since he approached me with a tone I didn’t enjoy at all, he missed out on some nice promo. Nothing to do with this thread at all, but probably a lot to do with how I dislike watermarks all over WW2 photos.
Nevermind me, just thought it was odd you put a huge copyright mark on the photo. :diablo:
Imagine putting in lots of $$$$ on this stuff. The result would be magnificent.
Will anyone pay that sum? Just like that?
Doesn’t look right at all now does it?
IL2. The damn Stuka fight looked more realistic. I especially loved the “2-3-0” scene. Just shows what you can do with a cheap flight sim if you have the talent and enough time on your hands.
Just a tip, anyone should try out Hitech’s Aces High. You’re heart will be pumping bloody fast once you get on the tail of a Me109.
I was at a few airshows as a young boy at that time too, and I can’t imagine how I would have felt if I had seen something like that in real life.
