According to Helmut Terbeck’s Spitfire Photo Log (1986 ed) there was a photo of EN910 in Fanatique De L’Aviation, edition 113 page 14.
Thanks! I’ll see about trying to locate it!
Isnt that Z5252?
Maybe I’m just being horrible at finding things 😀
But I’m sure there are Norwegians here, who can answer before I locate any online info.
I am one. If you come across any articles or written pieces in Norwegian I’d be happy to translate.
I see a restoration looming 😀
Thanks for the tip, I’ll order it. 😀
Who’s idea was this, especially with it being the RAF’s 90th anniversary, couldn’t the voice of reason and logic have prevailed here, it’s going to affect both airshows, or does it make it more economic for international participants.
My thoughts exactly. Just what is there to gain from such a massive clash? It can hardly be economical? I thought money talks and if I was to have an airshow of major proportions I would do my absolute best to not make it compete with either RIAT or Flying Legends as it would mean economical disaster. As for this situation it’s like giants in the playground. Especially for Legends since it’s obvious many potential participants to Legends will go to RIAT.
But what do I know. 😀
Thank you! All very interesting things!
Im not sure I understand the whole deal with the stripes. It totally ruins the look of the thing. Mixing those camouflage colors with those bright red, blue and white colors reminds me more of a circus than of a Spitfire. :p 😀
So theres no plans for her and she will stay there until she falls apart?
I love it when girls put their “make up” on.
Beatiful 😀
I bet the rest of the team will welcome you with open arms next time you walk in……
Because of an ill-placed joke in an online forum which he also apologized for later ?
Anyways, good to see that the Blenheim will fly again. It’s been missing for too long and it’s a beatiful aircraft. The task at hand must be overwhelming. Good luck! 🙂
Maybe you could give Israeli Air Force Museum a call.
I’ve been there. They had several hulks around and their exhibits had a hard time in the sun outside there.
I saw the Avenger too, standing there looking a bit shabby to say it mildly, several Meteors, two Spits and a whole bunch of old Phantoms, even with battle damage on them
There’s some pics here

Stunningly beatiful
Looks like something out of a Biggles novel! 😀
I thought that the Tempest V was buildt so other engines could be adapted into it rather than the less reliable Sabre. Guess I was wrong.
A V would be amazing but theres no one around really…
