Shuttleworth does not loop or roll the Gladiator. Baby Boss does all. And, a BBMF Spitfire comes out pretty flat after we all had been Akary-ised.
P40c displayed very short on Saturday, came right over my head for its first pas. I told my mate that the pilot would be getting a bit of criticism for that move – he sort of missed his entry point. Then it landed. However, this is pure speculation.
Fred Akarys first pas in the Mustang on Sun was epic, legendary, awesome. And that pull up he did, holy s***.
Nick Gray does remarkably well flying the Gladiator as well as the Hellcat, and his trademark low topside pas at the far end of the airfield – over the fields, just special stuff.
Looking at “meteox” , there doesn’t seem to be much dodgy weather in France and Central Europe at the moment which might prevent any arrivals.
The nice and pretty weather lady just told me otherwise, but Europe is big after all. Hope meteox is right.
The weather will improve. Question is, will the European birds manage to come over.
90% original parts. Flying.
Static condition in some museum? It’s so boring. No fun. Just a dead aircraft sitting there.
I offer to clean it for free.
Actually, I really don’t care who is going on Friday, Tuesday, next week or last Thursday.
AGAIN…
Can we stick to talking about the aeroplanes….?? Re-read the Forum title….
Thank you
Post like this makes me giggle and brightens up my day
Speaking for Norwegian Spitfire Foundation, Lars Ness will be flying the former ‘Old Crow’ Mustang and Eskil Amdal/Gunnar Arnekleiv flying the Dakota.

Going back on Legends weekend weather, the closest call between 05 and now was 2009 when the cloud cover disappeared just in time for the flying.
2006 was quite windy. 2008 had what I predict will be the thing this weekend; sun, cloud, dark clouds, rain, thunder somewhere around. 2010, 2005 (sun) and 2014 was extremely hot.
2012 was pretty good with nice clouds around and on Saturday, plenty of dark clouds in the background making photography plenty of fun.
I can do it, although slightly scared I will forget it and end up with just one for myself! So if anyone with a better harddisk upstairs can do it, that would be great. But, if not, I will do my best. Mail me at toridarlarsen@gmail.com
‘Gathering of Warbirds & Legends’ was ace
Too many bloody Spitfires…as per usual.
Echo other posters comments about lack of Hurricanes:mad:
Be nice to see the Hellcat for one more time.
You complain about the AMOUNT of Spitfires GATHERED at an AIRSHOW????
Now that approach to aviation and airshows would be a good PH.D proposal.
I think we have a winner. Thank you gents, much appreciated.
Great line up. Only missing the Hurricanes.
