A bit silly to fit it, and buy tankers specifically so you can use it, & then not do so, eh?
Don’t tell me. I was curious after an article at “Flug Revue” where it was stated that it’s not able to do so
There was no provision for inflight refueling; the Japanese traditionally did not like inflight refueling, since it might imply an offensive posture, though in recent years they became more assertive and have acquired Boeing 767 tanker aircraft.
By the way: F-2 never deployed to a place where they need air-to-air refueling
It uses the same probe of the Viper
I guessed so. But the question is if it is “wired”/used
Maybe this is the wrong topic but I’ve got a question: Is the F-2 capable of air-to-air refueling? I’ve read this several times but on the back of the aircraft is a silver thing that looks like a probe. I’ve also found a PDF where trials with a KC-135 were made
Ukraine has over 200 Su-27’s
And two that might have been sold to the U.S.
Matt
Obviously i ment the two for the USA. In the meantime I found another thread here about these two aircraft 😉
Are there any further details about the 2 Ukraine Su-27? I haven’t even known about this but it sounds quite interesting:D
“LOCKHEED MARTIN RECEIVES TWELFTH ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR F-2 COMPONENT WORK”
Does anybody know the segmentation of these 12 contracts?

Isn’t it Libya?
Germany : F-4F ICE – around 2012
The JG71 (last wing with operational F-4F) will retire their Phantoms presumably in 2015, possibly even longer because of the Eurofighter delay of introduction.
Awesome pictures of these wonderful camouflaged Tornados:)
Hmm Here is a shot of a similar number 10MK23405 – http://media.bharat-rakshak.com/aero/AeroIndia2007/Walkarounds/SuMKIWalk/Sukhoi-30MKI+Walkaround+35.jpg.html I think this is SB105 .. not sure though. The only two ac there were SB105 and SB106, both HAL built MKIs. This is the main wheel bay cover Port Side
Scramble too;)
Jeroen,
I checked our photo collection from aero india where we did some up and personal shots with the MKIs. I found the following photo by our contributor Vijay Simha Reddy – Is ths the C/N Plate that you talk about? If so the number somehow ‘matches’ the serial number of the ac SB106.. These were the HAL produced examples
I don’t know because i can’t read what’s on the plate:D
This was painted on the port fuselage side just above the main wheel bay (but not on the starboard side) in the same place as the Russian Su-30s that came to Fairford some years back.
Alright. Then we’re missing only the 5 other Su’s:D
SB042 10MK2308
Was the MK really in the CN:confused: In the book ”World Air Forces Directory” the CN’s are for example 1010502 (But for Su-30K).
I’m also interested in the C/N’s:D
