A bit silly to fit it, and buy tankers specifically so you can use it, & then not do so, eh?
Don’t tell me. I was curious after an article at “Flug Revue” where it was stated that it’s not able to do so
There was no provision for inflight refueling; the Japanese traditionally did not like inflight refueling, since it might imply an offensive posture, though in recent years they became more assertive and have acquired Boeing 767 tanker aircraft.

By the way: F-2 never deployed to a place where they need air-to-air refueling
