One funny thing about Newcastle was if you stopped until th light started fading in the car parks near the Nature reserve, you had to beware of the night time carpark enthusiasts arriving, if you know what i mean:eek:

yes i think 30″ was the size
there was one 6foot 5″ guy who had to be moved has he could not physically sit down, in a normal seat!
hopefully on a Gambia flight you would get a A330 with seat back entertainment, would be bad look to get the old 767 without it!

brings back memories of the early 80s see the JAL DC8 frieghter at Ringway,
its smokey take offs were a great sight, especially good when taking off to the east, in those days the fence at the end of the runway past the pub was near a housing estate, all other planes would be well off the ground before reaching the hump in the runway, but the JAL one would still be on the ground, a few people would have panic in there eyes before it eventually lifted off

not sure what it called but there is an old black and white bristish film, maybe 1930s maybe 1950s about an airliner with its cockpit in the tail, think the film was based on structural failure topic

but Air Europe went bust in 1991, but Air Europa has been seen since them and the aircraft livery was the same except for the A in europa
