One funny thing about Newcastle was if you stopped until th light started fading in the car parks near the Nature reserve, you had to beware of the night time carpark enthusiasts arriving, if you know what i mean:eek:
would have been a very happy lufthansa plane on the way home:eek:
yes i think 30″ was the size
there was one 6foot 5″ guy who had to be moved has he could not physically sit down, in a normal seat!
hopefully on a Gambia flight you would get a A330 with seat back entertainment, would be bad look to get the old 767 without it!
hurray
worked over there 3 years ago and used to visit in evenings to do some spotting, the place in a nightmare to get a good viewing point without been in an illegal position or illegally parked!!!
recession over? maybe
shame we can’t get BMI back and the Antigua run
brings back memories of the early 80s see the JAL DC8 frieghter at Ringway,
its smokey take offs were a great sight, especially good when taking off to the east, in those days the fence at the end of the runway past the pub was near a housing estate, all other planes would be well off the ground before reaching the hump in the runway, but the JAL one would still be on the ground, a few people would have panic in there eyes before it eventually lifted off
what was the movie set in the 60s but made in 2000ish with him out titanic in it
can picture him in a 1960s uniform
was it catch me if you can?
“The Sound Barrier”, and “Always” come to mind…
thats not a commercial aviation film
not sure what it called but there is an old black and white bristish film, maybe 1930s maybe 1950s about an airliner with its cockpit in the tail, think the film was based on structural failure topic
the airport films were in the 70s, ok airplane was a spoof of them
i’d like a job doing the reports of these mishaps, if it takes that long come up with one for a lawnmower in the wrong place!!
so why the same paint work
just coincidence?
i’m sure some one will correct me
but Air Europe went bust in 1991, but Air Europa has been seen since them and the aircraft livery was the same except for the A in europa
thanks Mr King
i was originally on the Man flight but the end of March departures got cancelled, i guess they would have be A320s
