Pic has been around but no text about its guidance. Can you please provide some link to official publications where the guidance methods you mention are stated?

This pic was scanned from the back cover of a Chinese military magazine for enthusiasts. No more info about the pic and the guided bomb itself on the mag, a pic only. The guidance methods I mentioned are from Chinese forum. I think the parameters of the bomb will be released soon, because this bomb is for export market.

someone said he get the information from the factory:the crashed plane isn’t a AWACS variant,it just this one
and the cause of the accident is the digital control device of the four engines, and he said that the device is imported from europe/us? πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

It’s impossible. The WJ-6 engine of Y-8 has been produced for almost 20 years by factory 331 of AVICII. Nothing is needed to be imported from europe/us. And there is no so called “digital control device” in WJ-6. Plus, a single device’s failure leads to 4 engines’ failure, can you find a designer so stupid? This is not allowed in engineering.

    LONG LIVE CHINESE HEROES,WE REMEMBER YOU πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

It is imposibile that there are 40 persons in a Y-8 AWACS.

Challenge your imagination:India to buy 30 Chinese L-15 Trainers???

Reported by the web site of China Radio International that Indian Defense Minister Pranab Mukherjee signed a memorandum of understanding with his Chinese counterpart regarding military-to-military exchanges between the two countries during his 6-day visit to China. One of points in the MOU is that India will buy 30 L-15 trainers from China.

The L-15 news is reported by Chinese version:
    http://gb.chinabroadcast.cn/2201/2006/06/01/145@1070116.htm

but in English version, say nothing to the L15 issue:
Indian Defense Minister Wraps Up Successful Visit to China
    http://en.chinabroadcast.cn/2946/2006/06/02/272@98224.htm

Some people say it is a fake news from HongKong newspaper. But in today’s world, nothing is impossible. Any comments?

    .

Then in the Fighter area, let’s compare the turbofan Engines developed by Japan & China:

    ——————————China————————-Japan

    13000kg T/W 7-8 grade:——-WS10A————————F100-IHI
    9000 Kg T/W8 Grade:———WS13(under-develop)————-?
    9000Kg grade:—————–WS-9
    Middle Thrust T/W 10 Grade:—–CJ2000 Core Engine————- ?
    ———————————( Ignited in April 2005)

    Small turbofan for missiles:——WS-500————————–?

Is the F100-IHI for F-15J? Then we can’t say F100-IHI is developed by Japan.
It’s a license-built product, and the important parts are supplied by USA.
