What a crying shame!!!!!!!!
I’m all for saving it complete, why the hell not ? What good is a nose section anyway, 99% of ‘modern’ jet liners look identical once reduced to nose only.
Well said!
found this picture for sale on ebay (item number 6617351976) looks sorta like the above?
I never got to fly on a viscount 🙁 I have however got a certificate from ebay comemerating the last flight before it went to Africa!
Thats it!!!!!! although the one in the book had a Leyland cab (possibly an Octopus?) I just thought it looked quite stylish!
I learnt to drive in MK1 Nissan Micra Collette! My first carwas a Fjord blue MK4 Cortina. After 5 more Cortinas, 3 MK2 Escorts and a Capri 3litre (I am originally an Essex Boy!!), I moved up (or down depends how you view them) to Rover SD1. Had 3 2600 (which all eventually siezed due to camshaft oilway problems) and a Vitesse. Now got 2 Lexus LS400s (ones a jap import, still dont know what every button does in it!) and a ’96 Rover coupe T-top. Hurrah!

I never forget in the early eighties as a toddler, my nan used to live directly in the flight path along the A127. They used to frighten me silly and I used to run and hide. Now I just can’t get enough of them!!!!!!!!!!!!
upgrading to their premier service – 110 quid return 36inch legroom, complimentary cocktail before boarding etc, looking forward to it!
travelling with first choice from Gatwick
I read somewhere that there was a Carvair fuselage somewhere in Norfolk, does that still exist does anyone know?
I ll never forget the disapointment I felt when I got my first Civil Aircraft Markings book, all those years the Beverley sat there by itself, I was going to make this my 1st plane to mark off, only to find it wasn’t there anymore! still, I made my way over to the airport and was given a guided tour of the Heavylift hangar and taken on 707 G-BOSA, so all wasn’t lost!
