    African AB-204??

Just found this pic of a AB-204 over on Airliners net, taken this year at ysterplaat.
Its sports a lovely two-tone green camo job, though seemingly carries no other marks.
Does anyone have an idea to the identity of this cute looking Huey??

Actually that one is not from Burkina Faso but Guinea Bissau. The camo seems to be some kind of standard African Mi-21bis camouflage. Similar shemes were apllied to the Migs of Congo Brazzaville and Mozambique.

Thanks for the correction fabe ๐Ÿ™‚

The oher thing about this Nigerian MiG, is that roundel and codes look out of place on the paint job…a little newer looking???

Good work Jakub!!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Actually it’s a Mig-21bis which makes your find even more spectacular as Nigeria was only known to have operated Mig-21MFs so far.

That scheme looks remarkably similar to Bukina Faso. Is this machine actually Nigerian, are has it been recieved from elsewhere?

Abut the unknown Hinds which troubled flex and Banshee some posts ago…I think they are Sudanese

-the camo pattern is almost identical – except minor differences on the rear part of the tail
-size, placement, style and colour of the serials is identical
-the visible equipments, antennas are the same

So what do you think? Is it plausible?

Its a good call, however these carry 4 digit codes…sudanese machines only carry three.

The Indian example in the background of one pic, dates it to late 2004, through 2005, and i am awaiting confirmation on this, but Congo was reported as taking delivery of Hinds at this time.

Thats where im edging my bet at the moment ๐Ÿ˜‰
