All i want for godsake, is to translate English to Russian, enter it into a search box, and do precisely that…..SEARCH!!!…..and not be charged for it 😡 .

    Can anyone help me….PLEASE 😀

What about some Ugandan stuff? :dev2:
-General Idi Amin inspecting his airforce in 1974
    -several L-29s perform a flyby
-a Ugandan Huey, has anybody ever seen this roundel before?
-Idi lands at a remote village
-a L-29 in Israeli colours preparing for start
-interestingly Ugandan L-29s wore no less than three camo shemes: the purple and brown Israeli one, a tan and green mottled one and the one that can bee seen on this picture.

Due to increased Maoist rebel activity within the kingdom of nepal. the UK helped finance and broker an arms package to upgrade that countrys armed forces. This included several Mi.17s.

This Mi-17 seems to have been caught in a strong cross wind whilst attempting to land at a remote outpost.

OK, i know there is an Iraqi thread, but a pics here wont hurt ;). A AS.61-TS sits in the baking sun.

Another view of a Gazelle posted in the Iraqi thread.

A few interceptor MiG-25s were delivered to Iraq.

Lets go B/W!. It may not be colour, but this pic from the Eighties of an Honduran UH-1H dropping off members of the press, still look good.

Still in Central America and across the border, a nicaraguan Mi-17 swoops low.

A recently retired Bell Twin-twelve of the Peruvian AF, sits on the tarmac along with Queen Air behind.

Still with the FAP, this clean looking TH-300C is used for training.

This should set the pulses racing amongst you nostalga buffs 🙂 , its the 60s and the SEA war is at its height. This excellent pic of RTAF F-86 Sabre was shot at Korat, where US forces were deployed.

Nepal uses this smart looking AS350B.

Kyrigistan Mi-8/17s come in a plethora of schemes. This is a civil looking Mi-17 operated by the AF on behalf of the goverment.

This Cambodian Mi-8 was lost shortly after delivery from Czechoslavakia.

The thai Navy S-70 Seahawk seen here, is supporting marines during an exercise.

Another Huey, this time in service with the RTAF. Is this the best camo scheme ever adorned by a military Huey? 😎

This Malaysian navy Wasp HAS.1 still carries its ex RN serial, aswell as its own M499-02.

    A Sri-Lankan Mi-17…quite new looking 😎

Pakistan has found a use for the Alouette III within all branches of its armed forces. This one carries Army titles.

Back to the mountanous terrain of nepal, where a Polish manufactured Skytruck sits on a dustry strip.

    Banshees weekly digest- week two!

A follow-up to last weekends postings, but with freshly found goodies for you all 🙂

    A chilean Army MD530F Defender coded H-197

A Bell 206L-4 Longranger belonging to the Guatemalan AF, sitting at some remote forest clearing.

A little back in time, the Indonesian Army operated this cool looking Beech 18 😎

Back to central america, and into nicaragua for a couple of AN-2 Colts, and a AN-26 Curl.

This Algerian AF Mi-35V is seen freshly painted after overhaul in the new black and sand scheme as found on thier South African upgraded machines.

A tester for yous now!. 😉

This sand and brown coloured Mi-35 is pictured just before its national markings have been applied, and is circa 2005. To whom does it belong???.
My guess is, that it originates from africa. The machine is ex ukrainian.

Brunei is a customer of the SF-260, and is unusual in that they were delivered in a non-camo scheme…pretty smart all the same!.

The Bo105 has found favour with many a para-military organisation. The Indonesian Police being one such customer, equipped with locally built machines.

Search and rescue is a role that is carried out by the Bell 205A-1 within, the Philippines AF.

Thanks very much!!! A really great find. Are you sure these pics were taken during the election? I’m asking because the Su still wears the old flag which was replaced some months ago.

    Hi Fabe,

Yes, the pics were apparrently taken during the recent elections. Maybe the new marks are applied to, as and when aircraft enter maintinance?. Since i would of thought that their fully operational aircraft, are a little busy fighting a war 😉

you posted a pix of Cessna 140 but what country? Use of 140 I only have found reference to Guatamala and Nicaragua using them.
The pix listed as Pa-34 Navajo is a Beech Baron version?

May I make a suggestion to all that when posting pixs from many different countries mod the the pix label to reflect country and aircraft instead of just a bunch of numbers.

    Thanks for all the pix’s

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

The Cessna 140 shown is from Haiti. The faded remains of the roundal can be seen under the wing. It was found within a dump at Port-au-Prince along with other ex Haitian military aircraft.

More info can be found at LAAHS. 🙂

Curahee80 kindly offered us this Venezuelan Mi-17 in post #858.
flex297 said that there are no modern equipments on board except a GPS…
What is it than this piece of hardware brutally highlighted in red? Looks like some kind of night vision kit…any thoughts?

In fairness to Flex, i assume he was referring to the SAR version that is entering FAV service.

The model you are referring to, is for the Army.

The box in question looks like either a chaff or flare dispenser, though im proberly wrong  .

Besides, id rather look at the other model, much more interesting! 😀
