West Bank, Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula and Golan Heights are NOT the part of the orignal Israeli state created through the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181 in Nov 29, 1947. These are the occupied territories during the 1967 six day war. As per all the international laws as well as the common sense, the inhabitants of the occupied territories have all the rights to drive away the occupying forces. So saying that palestinians are terrorists is nothing but ignorance from the international laws. Many of the posters dont have a clue of Resolution 181 (why bother reading) as well as of UN charter. Why Afghans were “Mujahideen” when they were fighting against the USSR and now “terrorists” when they are fighting against the so called allied forces? Palestinians have done everything, from armed resitance to the peaceful negotiation to regain their rights to live in the land that belongs to them. Even in 2006, Hamas took part in elections and won popular support of palestinians overwhelmingly. The same countries who dont get tired of preaching democracy to others refused to recognise the mendate and toppled the democratically elected Hamas Governemnt. Its easy to say that people chose hamas so face the consequences (how shameful, so the people should be killed for making a choice?) nobody asks, why they chose Hamas over PLO? Ghaza was in humanitarian crisis for last one year, people were denied of food and medicines, men, women and children dying and here people are calling THEM terrorists. People who think that by using these inhumane tacticts, Hamas will loose its support have no clue of human psychology.
If we cant make sensible judgment on who is defending and who is occupying, the least we can do is to stick to the topic and not bring these issues in here. There are other forums where people can exercise their hateret for people of other religion and race.
The last two decades have muddied the water here a little, in the form of islamist militancy whoms aims are not the liberation of the Palistinian people, but the removal of the state of Israel from any map of the Middle East.
There words not mine:D
The Iranians ( whom arm and support Hamas ) make no secret of it, and it is this that lies beneath everything that we are now seeing. If you want Hamas to stop, then you need to keep one of their phonelines to Tehran open, since it is there, the order needs to come from.
Im still interested in the details of Iranian financed Aircraft deal the Syrians signed a few years ago. What is its present status?, have deliveries begun and of what types?
I seem to remmember MiG-31’s being mentioned?
Niger Hind!
Reports suggest that Niger lost both its Hinds to ground fire. Maybe this was taken before then, or they have actually only lost one:confused:
I need a close up of this:D
I can assure you the pic is not a fake, look below:D
It may be, that Kazan had a Korean example painted up in Cypriot markings as part of a sales pitch. However, Cyprus was beleieved to have taken delivery of Mi-172’s for fire fighting, and thats from Air Forces Monthly.
Check the fire bucket carried in the first picture. It may be that the Cypriots simply leased the aircraft from Kazan, brought about by the urgency of this years fires. That would explain the differing paint scheme.
Oh….the pics are dated 2008.
And as a bonus….
An Angolan Generals Barge:diablo:
And……..
Kazakh Navy Mi-14s inherited from the Russians, placed in open storage. By the look of them, i dont think they have ever flew?
And how many of you have seen an Indonesian Mi-6?

Its not an Egyption flag, its a variation of the Angolan one, where the yellow has simply faded. Many Angolan Aircraft used to have this flash applied as rudder stripes on the fin.
I do have pics, but i dont post them here anymore. There are a couple of images in a past thread of Angolan Mig-21s taken to Cuba wearing thise rudder stripes, aswell as a well known image of a shot down MiG with the same markings.
On the issue of copyright.
Simple rule is, dont remove copyright from images, and dont post those that your not sure of!
Ive recently found images within my collection that have been taken from Airliners, with the logos and copyright removed. These images were posted on other forums.
Quite frankly, its impossible to know where every single image out of a collection of thousands, is owned by:eek:
Im busily uploading images to a flickr account, which will be online soon….i hope. The images that are posted on there contain the copyright and the websites logo. Where not, and the photographer is known, then i have simply put his/her name below, with a link to a website if any.
Where these details are unknown, ive simply asked for people who recognise their photos to contact me, and i will be willing to enter any details they wish.
Collecting Military aircraft photos is a Hobby, no profit is made by me, and i spend hours looking for the unusual. I like to share with other enthusiasts what i find…otherwise, whats the blinking point.
I think the Copyright Police on here and elsewhere should realise that most of us are just enthusiasts like them, and have no intention of stealing anyones copyriight. Those that do, make it harder for people like me to post my images, which ruins superb threads like these at key…….
