Sudanese F.6!!!
Well, work means i have not had the time to get on here as much as i would like, since i have loads of wonderful finds to share with you all:cool:
Count these as a foretaste of whats to come:rolleyes:
Firstly, a Sudanese Shenyang F.6 sits disused at Juba, after what looks like either a landing or take off accident.
Second image shows a Nepalise Army Dhruv.
Lastly, how many of you have seen an Indonesian Air Force Lake LA-4?. Operated by the FASI and registered PK-SAR, it is seen here sometime 1976.

More soon;)

Hopefully some of the blanks can be filled in.
Chris,
Whats happened to your World Air Forces website?
It seems to be unavailable.
Its a shame if it has been shut down, because it was a goldmine for info.
Banshee, just for you.. 😉

I think we should have a special wives and girlfriends thread! 😀
Anyways, less of the Tom-foolery….back to the Aircraft:)
Three rare pics of Sandinista Aircraft.
A Mi.8T Hip-C ( source unknown )

A cessna 337

And a MD-500D ( via LAAHS )

HEHEHEHE:D 😀 😀 😀
Ooops!!, sorry guys….wrong button:o 😮 😮 😀
Zambian MA-60 AF-607:)

Mi-6 Hook from egypt:cool:

Why do I have the impression that the AB.205 is a PS?
The shiney paint job?
Looks ok to me:)
The heli has been photographed in two positions, but the suns reflection stays in the same place, as would be the case when the guy taking the photo only steps a couple of feet to the left.
That also accounts for the glossy looking paint job in the first pic, but it looks more drab in the following, which surely would not be the case if it were shopped?
There is also shadow beneath it, which is consistant to the shadow beneath the Mi.17 behind.
Im happy with it:)
Incidently. the images appear within ARC forums and were posted there by the photographer.
If you register on there, you could PM him and ask;) 😀
Sudan!
Photobucket has hit the jackpot again:cool:
Apparently, Sudan still uses AB.205s:)

And a Mi.17V-5, aswell as some earlier Mi.8 Salons:eek:

And from the same Dude comes this AN-26 from Congo:rolleyes:

Not forgetting these Ugandan overhauled Mig-21s:D

All hail to heavyD_72 🙂
Banshee:
I don’t think the Zimbabwean MiG-23 shown is at Harare. The background shows houses on a hillside and all the photos of Harare Airport I’ve aver seen show it to be on a plateau with open space around it.

Do you have an idea where else it may be? Or is it just a Libyan machine afterall?
The caption below the photo at xairforces.com, has a seriel or code of ZAF-001, does this mean anything to anyone?
🙂
Zimbabwean MiG-23s participated in a live fire exercise in 2003.
Interesting:eek:
Is it possible that the correspondent has got mixed up between the F-7/MiG-21 and the MiG-23?
Is there any other independent source to this?
🙂
Zimbabwes 23s were indeed donated to them by Libya, but went straight into storage at Gwero?……and apparently still wearing their former Libyan marks.
Dont ask me to source that info, since i remember reading it in either AFM or Air International yonks ago:confused:
Zimbabwe MiG.23!
MEGA!!!!!:D
Zimbabwe MiG.23UB possibly at Harare:eek:

plus a boring bird from Zambia:rolleyes:
