Also might i suggest that a remaining member of the committe may be inclined to paint a different picture so it appears there was nothing more to it.

    resignations

The following is a quote from a member of the VTS Club Committee….

Mr Poole has resigned as chair of the Vulcan to the Sky Club of his own free will, and contrary to the beliefs of certain rumour mongers, he was not pushed & there is no conspiricy, and as such this the business of the club and the club alone…. it will not affect the running of the club and definitly not affect the Project in any way shape or form.

It appears there has been a large amount of S**T stirring over this unfortunate state of affairs so perhaps it can now be put to bed and forgotten about??

What about the 2 others that resigned at the same time. Not connected??

    Fantastic, Sea Hawk.

Link from one misinformed thread to another. I’m sure that between the two, you’ll be able to come up with enough conjecture and speculation to sully even the most positive of minds.

As for Geoffrey Pool’s resignation! My my, talk about mountains from molehills!! Geoffrey was the Chairman of the Vulcan 558 Club. NOT TVOC or VTTS Geoffrey had held the post for quite a while, and had decided, at this years AGM, where it is tradition for a percentage of the committee to stand down for re-election, to himself step down and let somebody else take the reins. He is quite an old chap, and wanted to spend a little more time with himself and his wife. No great conspiracy there I’m afraid.

Can I suggest you do indeed visit http://www.tvoc.co.uk and the forums, where you can ask questions to your hearts desire, that will be answered honestly, and by the people actually rebuilding XH558.

it would help the case if these reasons were spelled out on the site. no information leads to conjecture. just to say someone (in this case the chairman) has resigned for no given reason what would you think.

it is also on the tvoc site it doesn’t say chairman of what…….surely you see how this sort of thing can be misconstrude…….

the less information given doesn’t help the cause IMO.

anyway as you rightly say Geoffrey is now free for whatever reason to do what he wants to do, be it work on his hunter or help us with our (and his) beech 18.

i think we all have views about this whole saga, some more secrecy or “in the club” type of goings on is not a surprise when one considers what has gone on before.

I suspect most people are very keen to see 558 fly again (and i must say i am one of them) but the way it has been done is in my opinion poor and has been very badly conducted.

my stahlhelm is on ready for another slagging off.

    sunday

Hi, thanks for coming over, such a shame the weather was so bad.

glad you liked what you saw, it does show what can be accomplished if it is done right. What isn’t usually realised, is that most of the work on the planes was done outside between 2 forty foot trucks and a few roof sheets.

Had to keep busy sunday cus it was so cold. I was fixing some bolts on the doors.

next time, the front doors will be on and the hangar will be sealed from all that water coming in. Also we will show another Harvard we are working on and my kettenkrad project.

    regards
