I wish them the best of luck with this project. surveyed this airframe a couple of years back and it was frightening the amount of work and money required to get it back to even a static exhibit standard

    exfoliating corrosion in many areas

more cost effective to buy a project in the states rather than re-spar this one

    good luck guys

    fair point moggy.

As others rightly say, lots of growing to be done, maybe not growing but maturing because some of the grown ups need to mature from what i have read in this thread

AAAAH all is explained…. you have been around Texan Tomcat and Phil Turland too long you are even parrotting their posts of 12-13months ago when they were asked to vacate the hangar some 4weeks after the agreed date they had made with TVOC.

As to beating you up? this actually highlights your immaturity.. sensible adults don’t get into fights, they discuss things..

Secretiveness?? did you ever go to the hangar and ask to have a look.. Denis is there and quite knowlegable about all aspects of the project and would have gladly expained all things to you..

Paying to see the aircraft??? tell me have you ever been to Ironbridge museum for instance or any privatly run charitable institution and not had to pay for the privilage……I think not…… as to 558? all donations{for that is what they were} went towards the matched funding required by the lottery grant, how else were they to raise the said matched funding????

Suggest you go and talk to Denis in the hangar, and tell him I sent you..

    :dev2: :dev2: :dev2: :dev2:

I would like to point out to you, we vacated the hanger on the day we were asked to vacate the hanger. any extension, (you state 4 weeks) was agreed

as i said before, this thread is not contributing to anything any longer and i suggest to the moderator it is closed.

finally, the person who made the comments about the aircraft jumping off it’s jack is i would hope regretting their remark. In the interests of politeness the name will remain un-disclosed at this time. Politeness seems to have gone from this thread

i am either very dim or those figs just doesn’t add up

    £250,000 – In direct donations £114. 812.37 leaves them needing £135,187.63

the 1 million figs are ok

“To clear up any confusion” didn’t they just add to it or am i missing something?

I was there (as i have been for the last 18 years) not on the “flight line”, I was building the hanger over the far side

1st bit of canvas on our “new” hanger, beech covered for the first time since coming out of the main “vulcan” hangar, maybe i will get to work on it again soon.

sorry, no pics, too busy driving the forklift.
