aren’t the engineers paid by Marshalls………so even though the contract is terminated won’t they go back to working on hercules’……….therefore not out of work unless Marshalls contracted these guys in special
VTTSCM…………….wil you please pack it in

we all know there is a problem but for gods sake let it be for a while until the muddy waters become clear.

oh and regarding this post #21 i believe
“What I see here is a lot of jealousy for projects that haven’t been able to get started, and few either (a) helpful or (b) constructive comments.”
YOU ARE WRONG
look everyone, let us be realistic here now
it ain’t never gonna fly so long as i have a hole in my rear.
not negative, REALISTIC………. too big, too complicated, too expensive, too big a hole in the ground if it goes wrong.
I suggest to all moderators this thread gets closed until deadline day then we will see who is right and who is wrong…….
all points mentioned here have already been covered……nothing new anymore
borrowed this “EPIC” from RGlangham last week and i have to say it was the worst film i had ever seen in my entire life……………..
poorly made, poorly scripted, poorly everything……….. it made me poorly
there are so many stories WWII stories which could have been made into a super film but these guys chose a real piece of S**T to make, no basis in fact anywhere…….it was utter rubbish
Kelley’s heroes was excellent, Where Eagles Dare Excellent, the list is long but this well………..
what other film plots could we suggest to the makers, answers on a postcard to………..Billy Zane and that stupid US officer chap
oh well never mind eh
she is “on holiday” thus avoiding answering awkward and embarrasing questions

Dr Pleming is off sick also avoiding answering awkward and embarrasing questions…..maybe he is sick of pickle………….the pickle they are all in upto their armpits

I was right. It’s crap. Confused and ludicrous plot, naff acting, A-team battle scenes…
Particularly memorable moments:
The (CGI) Fw 190 spotting a handful of soldiers in a field and deciding they are a worthwhile target for not one but four strafing passes… good job his guns aren’t harmonised so he shoots either side of our heroes each time.
The roundel on the crashed Horsa… blue centre, red surround…
The German seaplane… an An-2 minus its top wing, and with two (small) fake engines tacked on the lower wing. Apparently bullet proof too.
Inexplicable bursts of rock music from time to time.
Soldiers hiding from a machine gun behind a crashed glider… which moments before had been riddled with machine gun fire in an impressive demonstration of how crap a shield it makes.
The wide use of pistols as accurate long range weapons.
I’m sure those who know their uniforms and weapons can rip this one to pieces on that score too.
something tells me you didn’t enjoy it much………can’t quite put my finger on what it is though………teee heeee
Rob, Thanks for your help yesterday, sorry it was a bit of a messy job but it is very important and extremely satisfying when a coat of paint is applied.
Hope you enjoyed your “ride” in the Beech, we don’t always do that.
We hope you can come up again, I think you would be good to have on-board
cheers
philip
anyone else out there who might want to lend a hand??
I might bring it with me on friday……………… graham will pop a few off i imagine
Cheers Rob, I think Ben (TT) is gonna show you about on saturday, i/we are there on sunday this week (we usually do saturday).
The Volpar Beech is having the cowlings worked on at present, not a lot to do on those, most of that is done already.
We need to get the stripping underway, this might be relatively easy. You will see what i mean on saturday…..there are a couple of other chaps with us working on the new hanger, T-6, Beech 18 x 2 and such like……..ANY help you can give is really appreciated.
hope to see you on sunday………..
cheers
philip
So i assume we will be doing this work alone again as usual…………. I thought some forum types would love to get their hands on a plane………maybe i shouldn’t be surprised
