It is Black……………does that help much
Sorry guys but not able to bring the Beech or the T-6 out this time………..work commitments prevent it this time
Gonna be there on the sunday working on the Hanger again.
Not sure you (or Graham) are able to remember anything about Saturday night…….lots of the old wobbly juice coursing through your veins i believe.
You have got beaver on the brain
yes it was, don’t time fly
If standing at the front of the Guppy, look to the left and you will see the hanger about 150 yards away.
a few more pics
62 years ago to the day, (D-Day was a tuesday). I wonder what was happening at exactly now) 8:30 am on those beaches
It is just like the dome sage
more and more money……………….
It ain’t never gonna fly, just like the dome.
At least the dome is being re-modelled into another useable venue
Sorry Denis if you are watching, i support what you guys are doing but i think the people at the top are causing more confusion and fraustration than ever……..so many mixed messages, up beat, down beat, up beat again, doom and gloom….
come and give us a hand on our Beech and T-6 projects, i believe they will be airborne before 558 ever is.
Then you clearly haven’t grasped the facts.
558 was his, the hanger is his, but you are missing the fact that while 558 was his and he kept it in his hanger, he was also earning rent from it as a storage facility, even though it wasn’t full rent as 558 was taking up a proportion of the space, so you are wrong to say he hasn’t for the past 13 years.
Once the hanger had to be become soley for 558 and modded for the eng. works and upgraded for HSE stuff etc., then that rental income would be lost, and as he didn’t own the a/c anymore it’s only to be expected that you want some recompence for a property you can’t earn from anymore.
And hasn’t it already been pointed out that 400k includes the price of the a/c and spares stock, and isn’t just the rent of the hanger..??Still nothing like a good pis**ng contest to light up dreary day….. :p
spot on Firebird …………. lets hope it sinks in this time, maybe i wasn’t spelling it out too clearly, or maybe they are just a bit dense……….shall we take a vote on which?
poor old damien……………….mind you even with part of a brain he can still take a cracking picture and pilot a plane………….cheers mate
Hmmm, interesting……in response, my 2 penneth.
David spent £1million of his own money (see my previous posts) He got back £125,000 when he was asking for only half of what he had spent..isn’t that quite generous?
The aircraft once aquired by the nation then doesn’t belong to him. He is now entitled to stop making a loss on it and charge for hangerage………not unreasonable IMO
the people at the top should have the courtesey to respond, here we agree…….
i also agree with a number of your other points but I am not sure at what point I blasted anyone who asked a difficult question……….I believe I was asking some of them as was Texantomcat and many others.
the thrust of the majority of your points is well aimed but one or two are not IMO
plt
But it is rubbish………..I am going to go down the pub, then i am going to build some more of my kettenkrad in the garage……………why? CUS ITS RUUBBIISSHH
Agreed
Seemed to be turning real nasty for a while there guys, glad to see it is calming down a bit……….. still a couple of types that need to see the light though.
I/We (TT) can help with a very nice tour of a very pretty Beech 18 and a very boring T-6 for forum types, a quid or so in the pot would be nice and/or buy a car sticker for a quid………..
denis, what are you gonna do to VTTSCM…………..are you open to forum members suggestions
Well said Dennis, not sure about the partner in crime bit though
now you can see the sort of things i come accross when i am compiling my Beech Restorations Newsletters for our shareholders and supportors
