I think Philip may have been refering to the Sywel Vampire not the MAM airframe.

Yes, you are right…………Sywell T-11 is only a cockpit section………….yawn

Cool didn’t know Sywell had a Vampire T.11, love the things! Try contacting Midlands Air Museum, they have a Vampire T.11 in their ‘graveyard’, doesn’t look like their going to restore it, appears complete though

    just to clarify

it is a cockpit section only…………………..not a complete airframe

Sorry Andy, didn’t realise it was you.

Still a wayse off yet mate……still doing the sparky stuff

all of the big bits are bolted on now…..gotta do the elevator trim, aileron trim, headlining, cockpit trim, passenger seats.

like texantomcat mentioned, bringing out the T-6 (if that is ok with you guys)

see ya saturday……..gonna start to take the bent parts of the rub hanger apart so david gan get is straightened…..he is then gonna put it up at the entrance to our hardstanding so we can pull straight out onto the perimeter track.

that is really gonna “P” tony off. He is gonna have to move all of his quality gear.

p.s. bought that big towbar of nev’s off him via ebay….he could have asked us if we wanted it….also, got that blue tug again…£325 from DT’s brother. Dave walton was gonna start charging them storage on and told us to put in a silly price and we would get it.

We have a mobile air an power supply if you need power or air over the weekend. single phase, 240 or 110 volt plus a great big compressor mounted on a trolley.

All available (tug, towbar and compressor) for use on site, so long as people look after it and put diesel in it.

    see ya saturday

….and what about all the other old aeroplane operators? etc. etc.

I agree that Sally B is important but NOT the only historic and important aircraft in the country that is (or will be) affected by this ridiculous situation.

If the forum members are going to be charged to use the forum the money should go into a central fund and allocated evenly/fairly to all historic aircraft operators but………1) how many would continue to be here and 2) who would decide what is fair and even, one of our moderators??

maybe there should be a poll to see how many would pay and then another poll to decide who the money goes to.

    Hangerman

wish it was complete, i know she looks complete but still a long way to go yet. Thanks for saying how good she looks.

Would just like to say we are not stopping anything going on in the hanger. they have full authority to move our beech at any time, (and they have).

We are there temporarily only and work every weekend under the strict guidlines laid down by the VOC and we adhere to them to the letter. We are trying to get as much done as possible before we have to leave our almost finished aircraft outside and exposed to the elements.
