I can pass on any details to David Walton as i see him all the time.
if you want me to help, i am glad to do so. pm me with details and i will see he get it.

The problem is, it lacks a scale
any body watching, this thing is big, it is about 18 inches square
hope that helps a bit
could be mate
Are you suggesting that i may be wrong in my identification!!!
chinese stirling, Honda C90………….are we getting warm yet…….could it be a part of that Do335 that defected to Spanhoe in the last months of the war
it looks very sad and as i mentioned before, nothing much happened to it since it arrived (or so it appears)
They have got everything they need, seats, instruments, the lot
their plan was to put it onto a flat bed lorry/trailer and let kiddies clamber up into the cockpit.
Bit high in my opinion
I did this with XV489….but because it was on it’s belly it was just about ok
would hate to clamber up to that height myself
afh10……………now i know who you are
thanks for your support
Still in the same condition as when it left Bruntingthorpe in about 1999.
back is a bit cleaner and that is about all. Still no seats, IFR probe still out
I had this Nose section and XV489 at one time….489 went to holland…..she was completely refurbished in about 2 years if i remember correctly…
secret chinese modification to stirling bomber fleet which they operated after the war
velly big bird rong regs you know….tee hee
I am led to believe that the “new” insurance rules put the old style nose configuration for this a/c into another insurance catagory (because of weight difference) and thus not financially viable
i understand the early nose is going to be fitted so it can remain in the lower catagory.
Marshalls audit is supposed to be 1st June but i suspect they (VOC of VTTS) won’t be ready
Ah, Bod it is you….didn’t know you went under that disguise
At the risk of saying something daft (see Vulcan news thread)
I Thank you and my pleasure……the chuckle brothers helped of course and i think there was one other barking a lot if i remember correctly
DB I think i will be present when you have your little chat……..should be good for a giggle
Saying something daft then huh….we will see, maybe the way it was phrased but that is another issue
as for you mr TT what do you mean pies
my shoulders are broad enough and my belly is fat enough to soak up all of it
