Miracles can happen but being brazen also works.

a few years ago they were operating F-4G models 561st if i remember correctly. Commander was JR Uken…..

I took pen to paper and wrote to him, well fax actually, “please mr can i come and take pictures of all of your planes”………..well not the exact words but something like that.

He repied and said “yes sonny, pop along anytime, ring me when you get to the main gate”

so off i went and had a great tour around the Unit……….and they gave me beer…

it is worth a try, they can only say no and what have you lost.

also did the same thing at richards gebaur afb in missouri and some A-7 base in oklahoma.

    go for it

i remember the time i went there to the first Holloman Phancon……….sitting on the ramp, shooting stink bugs (F-117) at the last chance, F-106 drones all over the place and an F-86 drone too boot

    oh bliss.

the new mexico desert is fantastic.

    one day i will return

don’t forget we still have the u/c downlock problem to overcome otherwise we ain’t goin no place..

BTW folks TT just swanned about again, lighting up fags, leaning on trailers, didn’t even have the strength to pick up that star on the fuselage…..something about extremely good sex the night before drained him of all his energy

    tee hee………..tee hee…..tee hee

i believe it will all come out in the wash….donations are one thing but it doesn’t solve the root cause of the problem.

watch the space and see what comes out of it.

I/we (http://www.beechrestorations.com) have the same problem about to whack us in the gob……if we all make enough noise we will all be heard…..european court of human rights sounds like a place to start….destroying businesses and such like.

if someone wants to insure our Beech for us we would be only be too pleased to blazen their name on the fuselage..

just a quick correction, Lewis guns don’t have water jackets……….they are air cooled…easy error to make cus they do look like water jackets.

Also the lewis design was copied in the German Fallschirmjager assault rifle FG-42

glad you liked the museum stevieb and thanks for the very kind offer of magazines…..these are a great attraction for the kids, they love them…..also any old unwanted plastic kits work as well.

Colin, re Gordon King’s harvard/T-6/SNJ…………he still owns it….Gordon is a member of Sywell Aviation Museum as well…..he is still doing very well, saw him last tuesday

He sold most of his stuff off. We (beechrestorations/texantomcat) bought his harvard stuff….he still has some very nice stuff in his collection and had some very nice stuff years ago….Nice Guy

    Hi Philip,
Did you quote “AH2068” to Dunlop when you contacted them? This is definitely a Dunlop number – I remember the series AH/AHO and AC/ACO from when I was an apprentice at Dunlop in the late 1960’s. AH and AC were the major components/assemblies and AHO and ACO minor ones.
I seem to recall reading somewhere recently that someone had acquired/had available Dunlop numbers. If I can find the reference will let you know.
    Roger Smith.

the picture and details were given to me by someone i do not know….i just copied and pasted the text.

    sorry, no more info
