And you point about Donor cards is very fair also. I do not carry a Donor card and neither will I ever. No more than I would accept a donor organ either. It is not something I personally believe in. Now giving kidneys to matches in your family is something again but I suppose we should keep on topic here and not decend into a donor slanging match.

Merlin. Totally respect your personal decision re organ donation, so this post is in no way meant to be contentious.

Would just like to say however that if anyone does wish to be an organ donor, you don’t have to carry a card these days. You can register on the NHS Organ Donor Register by web or by phone.

Getting home to my own bed after 4 weeks away…….nothing better ! 😀

Realising that I’ll still be stuck in Tunisia during a Spitfire display in my home town of Aberdeen tomorrow, and will also most probably miss the Leuchars airshow as well. Add this to missing East Fortune as well just adds up to a dismal year !! It’s not as if there’s a lot of opportunity for viewing displays in Scotland at the best of times 🙁

Same here, especially seeing Saltires being waved along with Libyan flags. Whether the conviction is sound or not, it’s still an embarrassment to see my national flag used as a “prop” to celebrate anything to do with the bombing…sorry….cold blooded murder of 270 people. 🙁 🙁

Odd shoes and Hairy !!!

I worked with Len when he came up to Aberdeen in the late 80’s to fill in as CFI at the local flying club which by that time was owned by Tayside Aviation. He instructed me a couple of times as well.

Definately a character, and as mentioned, a can-do sort of guy ( by whatever means !) and a breath of fresh air.

And the shoes – definately one green and one red, but was there any particular reason why ?
