dont worry even if F22 is supplied. Jordan is another “MUNNA” – ie.
armed but toothless without US approval to do anything.

MUNNA – “major non nato all-lie” . indians also use it as a endearing way of addressing small children 😉

As long as downplaying another non-indian… Whatever. Jordan is close with Israel but I hope Erez can shed a light why Jordan is okayed and Egypt not. I thought that just after Israel, Egypt was second in getting military aid. How come they do not get AMRAAM? Is Egypt moving away from US or is it dangerous for Israel with whom it has treaty?

We will see which other plane will be added to the everlasting delay of another 125 planes. Russia is getting little angry. France is no longer happy with the delay. And suddenly Gripen is suprised to see a request when they just told Pakistan a “no” cause it is instable region. We will see how it develops.

Labelling others is just hiding own deficiencies. About the radar. We know the size and we know what it should be able to handle. Even with western options Pakistani or chinese products are labelled as worst even without any knowledge. Somehow it is just labelling.

I was wondering about H2 missile. There are many rumours.

I read in pakdef that mr Musharraf was looking at a Matra magic and the reports was about the nes H2 missile. We know about the South African connection. I got a picture of the U darter:

added to that the mock-up of the Fc1.

So is the U darter the H2?

The only possible option was Pakistan but that one skipped. It selected Fc1 and maybe F10. Oter nations cannot just buy a few without getting the whole maintenance headache in the future. And nations rather go for multi role these days.

I don’t. Don’t tell me it was Anza. Adding some info. I am not aware of the relationship between US Stingers and Anza but Pakistan provided the Afghanistani Stingers during Cold War. Many of those stocks were used for Pakistani forces. Some of the stocks even went international cause mujhahideen sold them for money. But knowing that Pakistan has enough Stinger. Maybe some of the Anza tech can be related to that.

Let us meet in the middle guys. Engine is Russian. Design and bvr weapon is Chinese. There is some input from Pakistan. The radar will be french or Italian. Somehow it is a mix. But like any other plane it is just fine. It is positioned ad medium tech and we should not make it a star nor slave. With being tested and molded after 20 years of experience with the f16 it isn’t just a toy either. There aren’t exactly many 15 million dollar plane that have these BVR and agility parameters.

Desert fox, your remarks about Fc1 are maybe correct. Maybe not. Just wait a few months to see the final production model. No need to bash continously. I see you post a lot. Maybe time to take some breath.

big difference ! dont backtrack now, by claiming that you said “No longer the most important thing”. the point is that you basically said that a 3-gen aircraft with decent avionics can do what a 4-5 th gen fighter that is a better platform, can do. and that is so not true ! a good new-gen platform holds a lot of advantages, weight wise, performance wise, strength wise, over an older all-metal frame. only avionics cant make up for deficiencies of the platform.

for instance a Jag wont ever become a superb dogfighter, whether you put a radar on it or not. Im not saying that the FC-1 is equivalent to the Jag, but just having the overall layout of the F-16, does’nt make it an F-16.

I agree that the Thundaaaaar is basiq metals. But does that make it woser then composite planes? I don;t think so. There are some advantages at the same time. The reason that it it basic are very well known. Easy to maintain and to produce. Low cost. It is known that hte plane will get better parts when in service. Somehow people compare a failed project atleast as good as Gripen while almost the same plane is not even comparable with 1970’s F16. Do we actually have to listen to these comments when the plane is not even a finished products?

Great, more waste in the space. Why investing in another expensive goodie while there are few to use. Just to get milimeter accuracy or to avoid problems when US shuts the system down?

    Nitin *cough*Karna*cough*,
If India was able to swiftly attack Pakistan it would have done so several times. We should stop personal bashing others and see one as superior to the other. It is clearly not the reality. An do not forget that indian navy cnc told openly that India was left behind. You must have more info then he.
Stop running into superiority complex in every PAK India topic. It is degrading the forum.
    Thanks.
