Now you see why El Al has canceled its flights to Turkey??
No but I am a French citizen. 🙂
This is just says it all 😉
EL AL names the very most of its planes after Israeli citiesareasmountains. (Written on the right side of the nose in Hebrew and on the left side in English).

Isn’t he a “bit” too high? 🙂
Ohad, he was asking about the jet age 😉
The IDF/AF’s first jet fighter was the Gloster Meteor, entered service in 1953.

LOL
I’ve heard about that.
It may look scary, but actually it isn’t.
What happened is that the rocket engine has been lit, and thus the Sidewinder got off its rail, but its systems (and its fuze) weren’t activated.
So except from the fear to get a Sidewinder in Mach 4.0 in your A$$, you’ve nothing to be afraid off. 😎
Phantom II, you’re right.
The Lavi was designed to be two seater from the begining.
Camaro, Thanks 😉
The Sufa MAY looks ugly, but you won’t wanna be in the recieving end either way 😉
As I said, it’s Sufa, meaning storm in Hebrew 🙂
Is it known what a range IDFAF F-16I’s with conformal fuel tanks, one large belly, two large under wing and two smaller outer fuel tanks have ?
I have heared that the IDF has also developed even larger fuel tanks for belly and inner wings.
In such a high-drag/high-weight configuration there is not much place for payload but what would be the ferry range without any load in a hi-hi-hi operation ?
The only place the external fuel tanks can fit is the under belly hardpoint and the two inner ones. On the picture above the things on the outer hardpoints are for the crew’s stuff.
Great pic.
BTW, it’s Sufa, not Sofa 😉
I didn’t say it wasn’t, and it was in Indian AF service.
Kfarat, the SyAAF can’t even shoot down a MABAT UAV without crashing (14th of May, 1981) 😉
PLA, why you are always bring it up?
Here we’re talking about an F-4, F-16 or a Mirage or who knows against a MiG, not an “Apache against stone throwing”.
