Where were this pictures taken? Looks like a museum.

Does anybody know on which occasion these pictures were taken? Looks like a public event.
Picture of Syrian MiG-21?
As the Syrian defection thread is closed – did anybody find a picture of the defected MiG-21? I can’t believe that in today’s world full of mobile phones with a camera nobody took at least a poor shot of this aircraft.
Dear friends !
Probably, somebody have some information and pictures about the next subject:
– I have an interest about the using of ex-Soviet Mikoyan – Gurevich MiG-21 Fishbed/Mongol jet aircrafts in the Air Forces of former Soviet republics (this list based on data from worldairforces.com):
– Armenia
– Azerbaijan
– Belarus
– Georgia
– Kyrghyzstan
– Latvia
– Moldova
– Turkmenistan
– Ukraine.Who can help me with any images of MiG-21s from those Air Forces, and with any additional information about they ?
Bet regards,
Flyer.
If you can read German I suggest to purchase German magazine Fliegerrevue extra No. 27. There was a very detailed article on soviet and CIS MiG-21s that will answer your question – see this Link.
In East German Air Force this configuration was known as (literally translation) “swimming flaps”. The fact that flaps retract automaticaly at higher speeds was also told to lower ranking technical personell. So I’m sure the Czechoslovaks knew too …
What we know for sure is that it had(aircrafts are now in Batajnica Air Base without motors, radars etc.) R-13 300 engines wich surely shows that this is ST.
But MiG-21MF has R-13 too. So what makes you sure that these aircraft are not (modified) SMs?
Sveto!
Can you post an image of the air-intake of those ex-Iraqi MiG-21STs ?
Very easy to recognize the difference between 21bis and 21ST by air intake.
You can see an ST here:http://flickr.com/photos/dannergyde/276155106/in/pool-mig21
This plane have checked factory papers.
This is a MiG-21SMT airframe with MiG-21bis-size spine-tank = MiG-21ST.http://img523.imageshack.us/my.php?image=76cutcl9.jpg
http://plasticwings.hu/21/details/big/mfbis.jpg
MiG-21SMT, ST have this type of air-intake:
http://img91.imageshack.us/my.php?image=smtat8.jpgMiG-21bis has completely different type of intake:
http://img511.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bison9.jpgAnd also, different diameter, but we can not check that on photos.
MiG-21SMT, ST – 870mm
MiG-21bis – 900mm
So where is the difference between the intakes? The colour?!
And can you post any factory documents that were – according to your post – checked and that show it is an ST?
Rumours suggest that the MiG-25RB series and MiG-25BM could carry nuclear bombs….
In the German article mentioned above a drawing of a MiG-25RB carrying four IAB-500 (nuclear bomb training round) is shown.
The first finnish MiG-21Fs were labeled as MiG-21F-12
This is just a rumour – read this book.
First of all, The Lancer Program is a joint venture by Elbit Israel (the avionics) and Aerostar Romania (the airframe and engine) and is applied to the MiG-21M/MF.
The IAI upgrade program is named Mig-21-2000 and is based on the MiG-21bis. IAI does both the avionics integration and structure overhaul in Israel.
It is true that LanceR and MiG-21 2000 are separate programmes but they are not linked with a certain version. LanceR upgrarde is also available for MiG-21bis (see http://www.mig-21.de/english/technicaldataupgradesmig-21lancer.htm) and MiG-21 2000 was shown for the first time in Le Bourget 1993 based on a Romanian MiG-21MF (before the Romanians turned to Elbit for the upgrade – http://www.scramble.nl/mil/show/showreports/lebour93.htm)
