The Su-30MK variant has a range of 3,000 km…and the Gripens is reportedly around 2500-2900 km. I don’t understand the rational of hey, this aircraft has a 100-400 km longer range than the other, so that makes it inoperable for our airspace. This isn’t an attack on Kobra, but I’ve heard this argument too many times and I still don’t understand its validity. By the way, here’s an article about the joining of the special forces units. Somebody brought it up not too long ago.

Sorry man i didn’t know that the grippen had that much range i thought it had a range of 1500km like this MIG 29. But now as i think of it SU-30 sounds better its cheaper then grippen out techinains are more familar with Russian Aircraft and the plane is up to Nato Standards. And its a lot nicer.

That will cost a lot too run and SU-30s could cost more then grippens plus SU-30 is a long range interceptor.

I like the grippen beacuse it doesnt cost too much like the mig 29 to run also it is multi-role plane so you dont need to have 2 seprate planes like mig 29 and j-22 orao so you could have lower costs doesnt have high hourly costs like 10000 US dollars on mig 29. Id rather Us to sell all of out AN-26s and then just buy maybe 2 or 3 AN-72 they are the same size but newer or if you wonted 1 AN-72 and IL-76.

well they mostly have RPG-7s or RPG-2s but i think they would only have SA-7 MANPADS not SA-16.
