Plus if we wont enter NATO most of nato wonts us to move onto western equipment that means aircraft from nato countries and the US.

Thats like stepping back to stone age and for ground attack we have the j-22 and g-4 plus if we need to go somewere quick mi-2 is not the answear get 8 hueys or 12 and then youll have good attack utilaty chopper its faster then the mi-2 smaller so it can enter places quicker thats why it was so good in the vietnam war to my standards its better then mi-17s.

Mi-2 your joking right plus also we dont need no mig 25s beacuse we already have a mig 29 that wastes 10000 dollars each hour of fuel plus if we have a mig 25 who will waste a lot of fuel that means less fuel for other pilots hours for other aircraft in the airforce and also if we have to buy new planes and we had the money and lets say brand new mig 29 that wont be a brand new mig 29 beacuse in the early 90 Suddam Hussien put an order of 130 mig 29s and only 40 were delivered beacuse they gulf war started and then he didnt have the money and he canclled it and the remaining 90 aircraft were made and those aircraft have been mostly in stoarge so we will be buying mig 29s that are 15 years old and we will have maybe the same picture with the migs we currently have beacuse they were earlier in service with the russian airforce for a couple years and then put in stoarge and then we got 14 mig 29A verisons and 2 UB versions for to take some money of the debt russia has to serbia so if we went to get them they would be just a bit refurbished and that would be it and then we would already have a bigger running cost and maintenice and if it did still have money istead of more mig 29s get the grippens Sweden is selling.

Its more than a matter of coming to their senses and put them back into service. These aircraft will need to be inspected to see if they are even worth an overhaul, it is possible that they are just too far gone to make it worth the expenditure.

Even if there is trouble brewing in Kosovo (i can’t comment as we don’t see much of Kosovo on the News in the UK these days) a small number of Mig 29’s are hardly going to make a difference especially as the local NATO member airforces are hardly going to let Serbia interfere in Kosovo’s affairs these days.

I would of thought that Serbia’s government have other far more important spending priorites at the moment.

    P.S.

Whilst information about the former Yugoslavia’s armed forces are interesting “theserbian” any thread along those lines usually descend into rather nasty flame wars. Please don’t take any comment about the relative capabilities of the Serbian armed forces as an insult. Personally I have no reason to have much against the Serbian airforce but I do want to point out any inpracticalities with muted ideas of it future direction.

Are you dumb or something or havent you read enought if you been researching enough you could know by now that the serbian mig 29s are being upgraded plus if you wont a source here’s the link.

Mig 25s waste a lot of fuel and they are old the mig 29 does a lot better job plus we want repalcements for our aging fleet of mi-8s plus mi-8 is better then mi-6 also for su-17 that is an old aircraft id be alright with SU-25 but it wont do much also we have already J-22s in service and g-4 super galebs that can be upgraded to G-4M and the j-22s and g-4s are wired up with AGM 65 Merivick missiles and the Su-17 cant carry does kind of weapons and they aint even as good as the AGM and su-17 is worse then J-22.

The mig 29A is a jet fighter for air to air battles and doesnt have air to ground capabilty and for the mig 29 other version like the S version has improved avinoics that can support air to ground weapons and the SMT has better avionics that can support other newer air to ground weapons.

No russia can do a stready supply of Spare parts if you pay the money and the parts will come but serbia hasnt been buying parts lately beacuse most of the aircraft like the AN-26s 2 of them have been withdrewn for service beacuse they aint worth running and its easier to get parts from them then buying new ones.

Plus we would have train all of your technians to maitain all the aircraft and repair them beacuse it would be a western aircraft and Russian Technolgy is still very good plus the parts for the planes like Migs are a lot cheaper and you can also buy a liscense and produce some of the parts locally.
