Harrier????
Bazv ; Thank you very much for your contribution and the fantastic drawings. The Polish museum website was known to me but can’t find the record of the BMW801 engine. Sadly I must say that the hood not fit to this type of engine according to the drawing). I have options as two Do217’s crashed in the vicinity of east of Best (one 217E-4 1942 and one 217M-1 1943). As you probably know the 217M-1 have Daimler Benz 603a engines so maybe the hood is from that type of a/c???

Hi All, Firstly many, many thanks for all your comments, which is realy more than appreciated!!!
Farlamairframes; The first I did to look after markings and stamps when obtained. Can’t find anything which amazed me. However with a drawing, and refnrs I maybe know where to look for the markings etc. Bit disappointed as you said “second rib looked gold anodisted” as the site where it was found according the founder a Do217 crashed.
Shorty01 ; Could you send me a link where you found the panel??
1batfastard ; I have follow your link and see if I can find any contact details on him, but I see nothing. If you have the chance to get in touch with him and let him know about my “mission” that would be nice ; – )
Cheers,
Adrian

Many, Many Thanks for your reply. Prefered to get a copy of Coverdale’s book for my Bomber Command Squadron history collection. If you offered for a lookup I am very interested in Lancaster ND819 and especially Porter crew. Shotdown 21/22 May 1944 Duisberg raid.

Hi John, Many Thanks for your expertise!! I thought I couldn’t find any Part numbers and/or stamps. I clean it again and suddenly a number appears A73116FK32 and a small round stamp with initials BPBH and underneath the number 21. When i found it two years ago some one on this forum told me it was a part of the pilots seat adjustment but I doubt it. That’s why i brought it again to ayttention to an Stirling expert.
Found on the site where Stirling W7580 crashed at Geffen,Netherlands. Any clues of the ID of this part??? Many Thanks, Adrian
