Update, last weekend
Got to hand it to the guys looking after the Guppy. It now appears they are cleaning up the airframe as all the markings are being removed from the sides, and I have also noted she has had a lick of paint on the nose. The plot thickens

Hi Viscount, thanks for the list of ships and the details of what’s happening, yes I did manage to get to the celebrations although it took about 8 hours to get there (Bank holidays, don’t you just love them). I was a bit disappointed with the turn out but got some good photographs of what was there and the weather was excellent so had a good day. Not knowing the area, I could not find HMS Edinburgh which was a bit disappointing but understand she is due in at Portsmouth next week to pay off so will go and see her then. Also, I could not understand why they kept HMS Bulwark and the Belgian ship, Louise Marie out of the way. Went and had a look at HMS Plymouth and HMS Bronington, very sad and I hope it’s not to late to rescue them (My boss informed me that he served on Plymouth many years ago).

For a list of events have a look at http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/battle-atlantic-liverpool-waterfront-guide-3320202 . and for visiting navy ship movements have a look at port visits on http://www.seawaves.com. Hopefully it will be worth the journey 🙂

Nice to see a SHAR moving again even though it’s on the back of a lorry and it’s good to know she has arrived at Bournemouth. Looks like she going to need a lot of work so good luck with that and please continue with the updates as it would be interesting to see the progress
Keith, I have just looked up those two identities you show on the same aircraft, 73-22256 is a C12c with serial number BC7 and is now registered N40R. But the previous identity 05-52305 is given as a King Air 200 with the serial number BB924, A completely different aircraft……………interesting, thoughts anyone ?
CH47C AE-521 destroyed on the ground by 1 Sqn Harrier XZ963 flown by Flt Lt Hare 21.5.82
Seen today
That is really sad. Met Peter a few years ago and he was a really terrific guy, nothing and nobody was to much trouble and he seemed quite amazed when I told him he was very well known in aviation circles. I hope the aircraft collection will not come under threat after his passing, a collection which is a credit to him and all the guys that work there.
Pink Warships next ??? Will be first in line on a port visit :diablo:
They were both Channel Airways 748’s G-ATEK and G-ATEH. There is a report on the aaib web site (http://www.aaib.gov.uk) or just search channel airways hs748’s and you will find quite a bit of information.
Halcyonman, I know N2000S (NC-4) visited Blackbushe on 20th June 1989 and had the Paris show number 314,
