Either it was my poor piloting skills or the EF really sucks :diablo:
BOTH?:D
Seriously, Nic, you’re on a roll!
Lovely series of tongue-in-cheek posts lately!
Two thumbs up and keep on trucking, mate!:)
@Mrmalaya
Do remember that the smart bombs, atmospheric
conditions non-withstanding, are as “bright” as their
launching platform! In that respect, even the most
steadfast “Raf’fan” will acknowledge that you simply
cannot compare the efficiency of of patrol of Phoons
over that of a squadron of Blenheims save probably
the Lancaster but that’s unfair since I’m a fanboy of
them too! :):D:p

Good day N/D, Tay.
I’m not going o judge about better or worse here as such, but these endless claims of the “oh so much more developed Rafale and no upgrades for Typhoon brabbling” is somewhat delusional!
Scorpion, maybe the impression comes from this :
The Rafale is following a rather linear upgrade path
on account of being block-less first and by virtue of
having one govt/AF deciding freely. Wheareas the
Typhoon is “torn apart” between consortium upgrades
and national ones?
That alone may give some the idea that one does fine
while the other suffers! Actually it seems to me that the
UK is pulling the EF train almost alone. So does France
but pulling one wagon not four hence the difference.
@ Ero-Senin
Mostly agreed but it still gives one an idea. Besides, it’s
not like the DGA is gonna come and publish real docs on
KeyPub, right?
Good day all, Tay.
^^^^^^^2013 t0 2017 but I’ll look for most recent info.
Merci T’Mor!
@Buitreaux
Dassault would not like to have to create two new
stations to replace those lost at wingtip!
As TooCool12F pointed out, the “mast” that is the tail
is carbon composite and finenesse made plane and…
the box is EW located to complement the 360 degrees
coverage or about as here :
Anyway, the stealth future of the Rafale may be :
Also, do protect your work or follow-up on it
by making sure credit is preserved or contacting
the posters!
Oh! And thinking of Nicolas’ cute jest with a zest o’ truth,
who said the Rafale had a small nose? :
Good night gang, Tay.
I think someone asked for this :
Good day all, Tay.
I know where the mix-up comes from guys.
Scorpion, for Kovy and I there have long existed two timetables!
One projection with exports and one without.
The second came to order as the first failed to materialize.
But IF both brazil and
India were won, trust our govt to slow things back down
as much as can be!
So there could have been a gap if exports allowed French
orders to be delayed by say 16 months.
See what I mean?
Good night all, Tay.
Thanks for showing those, Buitreaux, nice work.
Had seen one or two in E-Brazil but did not remember
where!
The intakes re-shaping would go with 90kN
which is the value from Snecma but how much…
Thanks C-Seven for finding that vid :
^^^^^To raking export sales?
HUH! more money?
🙁
These stupid “it’s redundant the Typhoon won’t get it brabbling” appears to be Rafale fan’s wishful thinking, that’s at least the impression I get here.
By that impression, I’m not a Rafale fan.:eek:
Because I do think that the Typhoon will have those
or many of those capacities and weapons type added.
If only for the very simple reason that it already is
getting stuff from Tonkas’ retirement?
So that clearly it is the platform that can bridge the
gaps when needed.
However this may not always include a seamless line
of add-ons as other factors come into play.
For instance, having to use the said Tornado for Meteor
integration as no Phoon was available? Or money?
Some may yet be available on a pre-existing platform
able to last or deemed sufficient cutting the need short!
But overall, weapons choice will grow, of course!
Good night all, Tay.
Edited as double posting! Sorry!
^^^^^ The people had nothing to do with it, mate!
Them bloody i.io.s at govt, though…
The sales were as you guessed taken into account
in setting production line output rates!
So that extra money had to be injected to keep the
promise made to Dassault not to drop below 11 planes
out of normal 33-36 yearly. Just tells you how old the
problem is that Dassault got that guaranteed way back!
Our guys flying are happy however, getting a small dozen
instead of a few per year!
@mrmalaya
That is the only pic that has any semblance of what you
are looking for :
A nice guy on A-D made a good job of drawing his version
but that’s it! Others are close to farcical.
I had this though which may help each think his own up :
Good apposition, eagle1, which path will be chosen…
or a little of both?
Good night gang, Tay.
@mrmalaya
Since the last SDR, Franco-British missiles
have become the main focus of cooperation.
Future light anti-ship missile in planning.
Brimstone as added capability on the Raffy.
Dassault & BAe joint venture offer to make
the Mantis ( with Brimstones? ) a reality, etc.
@H_K
I used to be French Cavalry Scouting Sgt.
My guys would have shown brawn!
Darn “pool-side rats” aviators! :o:o:o:o;)
@ bgnewf
254 sorties for 8 planes?
Not too shabby!:)
( I live in Qc/QC BTW!;) )
@DrPepper
Refugees trying to exit/Daffy’s troops
trying to prevent/Tunisians being alert.
—end of transmission.
@Nicolas10
Right on!/Darn right!/Parfaitement d’accord!
Tu choisis.
@Sanem
What do you think of the AMCA models we’ve
seen so far? The TEJAS is a great plane but as
I discussed with Boom, I believe it to be mostly
a “sketch”! AMCA will be India’s real first plane.
@Flying-A
The Nimrod’s cut was my personal heart-breaking
moment in the last SDR.
Get the Raffy for RN’s CVs, spend the “saved” cash
on saving our old buddy and basta!
Then share a warm/cold one over the F-35 swamp
and fight together hence.
Let’s roam the seas “de conserve” as we used to do
as enemies!
That flight of Alouettes was is jolly sight!
Thanks Ray!
What a machine! A flying tractor!
An antiquated flying tractor!
Here’s to the Als, Seakings and
others, pulling their own weight
and then some after duty call is
done!
Good night all, Tay.
Hello, Boom, joined you here and on BR!
:DYou earned it Vishal.
I really appreciate for instance your pic 102,
showing the marvelous fineness of the wings
tail and canards on the Rafale*.
That too helps with reduced RCS.
@mrmalaya
Of course we still talk to you mate!:D
The Rafale was the first plane made in France
that had set numbers concerning RCS reduction.
It does not mean that it gets “Klingonized” **;
it does not mean previous planes were unstealthy;
it does not mean that its discretion is all in the cell.
It does mean that the Rafale was conceived with stealth
caracteristics from the onset.
In the MMRCA thread, you talked about “the RAM paint
peeling off” for instance. Go back to the pic you had in mind.
You will find that it is RAM material, not paint.
That cannot be “added” or not easily!
Check :
Minimising the radar cross section has also been a design driver in order to make stealth tactics possible. Most of the stealth design features are classified, but some of them are clearly visible, such as the serrated patterns on the trailing edges of the wings and canards.

Good day all, Tay.
* I was about to write my Rafale but it may soon be yours too!:D
** As the invisibility shields in Star Trek!;)
Thanks Vishal!
Great job! As usual!
Love those dev/IOC pics of Tejas too!;)
Keep it up!
Tay.
