Just what I thought, thanks for the details, mate!
^^^Sounds most logical!
Covers the “also on the pylons” aspect
especially since conspicuously absent
from wet pylons.
😮
Not validated by official source/link but rumored to be
additional SPECTRA points?
I have a source somewhere about the wingtip element
but if someone’s closer to it, huh…
T’Mor or Kovy could probably give precisions on that?
@Erkokite
That sounds quite plausible but although I do remember the
F-2’s induction as being before 2000, I have no idea about
the J/APG-1’s first flight. Are they concomitant?
Could you spare a link for a disfavored old bum?
Just a link, it’s not for beer, promised!;)
Very true, Scorpion! I had delusions of grandeur about
the Zaslon, oops!:o
To curious, 2000 on an F-15 C and it was a Raytheon
AN/APG 63 v2. Making the gap about ten years+.
🙂
^^^^^^??????????HUH? What?
You sound almost new to the subject, mate?:confused:
It has been explained to you that :
A) -the leader in AESA production is the U.S.A.;
B) -the first ever AESA fighter radar was on a Russian plane;
C) -there are numerous other countries involved
…..in the field, many if you will;
D) -Europe has developed its own means of producing MMICs
…..design and implementation following at a rate mostly
…..dependent on financing.
E) -that capacity will endure for at least two decades.
Good day, mate, Tay.:)
Both Quad and Rii must be right since both A/Css,
Typhoon and Rafale are being produced at a higher
rate than their respective govts wish to spend for,
thus making them available for delivery about as
soon as the time it takes to fly to India:p.
Good day all, Tay.
A pic is worth…..
and a close-up
Both Damocles, last from Kovy’s blog,
The lazy E-man’s guide to the Rafale! 😀
Good day all, Tay.
:diablo: And I’m sure that India will be impressed by :
allowed French (or Indian ) aviators, during a recent raid against an SA-3 site, to decline the offer of protection offered by the U.S. Air Force , which proposed to accompany the Rafale by F-16.
Good day all, Tay.
@ GoldenPawn Yeah, well…huh…:rolleyes::)
For all, this to peruse and expand on :
http://www.dassault-aviation.com/en/defense/rafale/smart-and-discrete-sensors.html?L=1
Interesting stuff really!
Good day all, Tay.
@Swerve, Thanks, mate! Just what I was trying to explain!
So, why did he choose to put “Rafale” in the title ? It would have been much better without naming a particular aircraft !
To illustrate how some procurements run amok?:)
So the Rafale team took the high road but where did the girls come from?
How many of the remainder cheated instead of reporting it,
since according to these newspaper there were other instances?
… really, mate, I like you but wrong bone!
Good night all! Tay.
P.S. I commented on that line on his page.
T’Mor, mate, he was answering some one with that sentence!
I’ve snapped it for all :
-by Keesje -“You have to read on from the header to notice Dassault is innocent I guess.
———-by Stephen Trimble -“That’s true about the 20,000-rupee bribe. But somebody is responsible for the prostitutes.”
The clear cut meaning being : Dassault was honest and reported it…
but who ELSE was running around handing out wenches!
Once again, if anything, Stephen Trimble is pro-Rafale.
Always read twice and ask for a second opinion. after four checks,
you can be certain…but never sure!
BTW, next answer did not stir any protest from Gripen fans? Why?
Are they no good at reading English or less whiny than the French?
Good day all, Tay.
I’ve been labelled or mostly thought of as a Rafale fan boy.
I’ve been using English as a major mode of expression for
almost 40 years and I would appreciate my countrymen
understanding that this Stephen Trimble’s particular piece
was a pro-Rafale posting! Thanks!
Good night gang, Tay.
