RE: IDF/AF F-16 attack goes wrong

    No no Skythe!!!

    Don’t be so cruel!

We should have told to our police force that we wanted that ‘man’ arrested. That would have pleased the world, and for sure the Palestinians…

    Note especially this:

“This assessment was based on the IDF’s experience from another attempt less than two weeks ago. On July 14, the IDF dropped a quarter-ton bomb on a workshop in Khan Yunis that was being used to manufacture mortar shells and Kassam rockets. The goal was both to destroy the workshop and to kill the senior Hamas operative who ran it. But the building was only partially destroyed, and the wanted operative escaped unscathed. The defense establishment wanted to ensure that there was no similar error with Shehadeh.

“Had the bomb not killed Shehadeh, he would have understood that we were on his tail and once again disappeared underground,” explained a defense source. “Then we wouldn’t have been able to get him for months, and he would have been free to continue launching attacks.”

The IDF also feared that a helicopter might be vulnerable to a ground-based attack. Use of ground forces was ruled out for a similar reason – fear that this would result in many Israeli casualties.”

    >This time, things have been quite provocative. An agreement
    >was about to be signed and Hamas had promised to stop the
    >attacks. So what´s the point?. Undermining the peace
    >process?

Come on now. Do you really believe this crap? They only said they would CONSIDER suspending attacks. This doesn’t mean they are actually willing to do this. We’ve seen this also in the past, but to everyones surprise they simply continued.

    >I don´t really think Sharon cares bombing a
    >civilians area just to kill terrorists. Would anyone be so
    >naive to think that they didn´t know lots of civilians were
    >going to be killed?

Well, the attack was already postponed at least half a dozen times. Also note that this is type of elimination is rare, because normally, Israel takes them out when they are in a car, and thus minimizing the risk of innocent casuaties.

RE: If You Could Go Back In Time…..

    Thanks Wombat, willdo.

As for the question of going back into time, I don’t know. Come tothink about it, it really doesn’t matter. If I don’t like the period I’ve chosen, I could be in another in a flash 😉

RE: Second Wave Attack Is Reported As Being Immine

Well, the US said about an hour ago that they have captured an US citizen that was planning to detonate a radiological bomb in Washington. you can check it out on cnn, bbc etc

Wow, finally after all these ‘warnings’ and alerts they finally say they have done somthing significant, and prevented a massacre. It’s funny how Ashcroft said he was real proude on the FBI, CIA, that they worked so good together in this.
That really makes me laugh. They should always being working together, so there shouldn’t be anything special about it that they are!

I wonder if they will work together next time so close as they have been now, and also how long this cooperation will last.

    Time will tell.
