I used to live in a cottage (1974-75) at the top of the hill at Balmullo to the west of Leuchars so often had Lightnings descending over our garden fence into the aerodrome. I wish I had had a digital camera then…

I seem to remember seeing a UC-78 Bobcat OO-TIN at Brussels Zaventem back in 1973. Was it this one?

lol dude i didn’t take the area 51 joke serious, it was that you were so sure it was not plausable that Janet flights are named after an acronym that was the issue. Anyway nice to admit you were trolling, if only more posters here could be as honest 🙂

Interesting point in the oral evidence is that making a marine version of the Typhoon is not only NOT plan B but would be somewhere MUCH further down the alphabet.

At the 1993 show I still remember the Tu-95/Tu-22M/Tu-160 take off and the guy going ‘Russsskkkkkki Beeeaaaaaaarrrrrrrr’.

Still it had to be better than the later MAKS show when he announced that the flying display was being stopped for a cultural break featuring Алла Пугачева. However, I suppose I can say that I have seen the saintly Alla (and her then husband) sing….

Yeah,:D some people are idiots, it would probably be in olive green raf 7 squadron colours from raf odiham.

Bringing this thread bang up to date, taken just last month, a Canberra upside down in a skip, I am not a liberty to give any info on its location as it is private and before anyone asks, yes, I did have permission.

Is the Sea Harrier fuselage still there and if so, which one was it?

Excuse me for being stupid but why are complete 737 fuselages being transported by train through Montana?

edit – because the fuselages are built at wichita….

And the U-2s carried false markings for their visits to the UK back in the 70s as most famously did one the 55SRW RC-135s when it went into the hangar at Mildenhall with one serial and came out the next day with a different serial…

Thye are military aircraft and as such they used to carry the aircraft c/n number and type in small numbers/letters on the fin.

No worse than the anonymous USAF B757s…
