No.2 in this occasional series
C-17 at Ashkhabad Northwest in Turkmenistan

Transporting cargo or people maybe? 🙂
Um…yes.
Here’s an Su-27 on the move at Bien Hoa in Vietnam

There was a Lynx AH.9 in the film clip as well
I’ve got a list of T-6s that were in the forest in 1975. I’ll try and find it.
Having just posted over on Modern about the Buccaneer fuselage visible at Foulness, I see the Trident is still alive here at Dunsfold. I think this shows the age of the imagery on Windows Live Local as compared to Google Earth.
I hadn’t noticed this before but the PEE site at Foulness Island is now available in high-def. Lots of interesting buildings, railway tracks, and railway coaches/units but a definite lack of aircraft. Oh for that time machine…
Although GE doesn’t show up any aircraft at these locations, perusal of Windows Local Live reveals a camoflaged aircraft at http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=51.584558~0.910597&style=a&lvl=18&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7734371 and a wingless raspberry ripple coloured Buccaneer fuselage at http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=51.588638~0.920515&style=a&lvl=18&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=7734371 along with some other fuselages.

I found the Windows Live link to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds image and there are a LOT of aircraft there including at least one C-130.
I can’t paste or attach the image here but here is the link
Oi, get out of my thread with your arguments! :diablo:
Another storage site just to the west of the ‘interesting target airfield’ near Fallon. NV has three airframes. But what are things to the right of the image?
Ok this is not a military aircraft as such, but this is a goody! There appears to be an airshow/exhibition going ot Las Cruces New Mexico and amongst the stands etc are a F-4, NF-16(?) and is this Space Ship One I see…?
Edit: On Googleing this appear to be the Space Flight Exposition which took place on October 9 2005. Space Ship One appears to be a model (according to the blurb) unfortunately. 🙁
But for once we can actually put a relatively precise date on an image 🙂
Has the GE imagery of Holloman been updated as I don’t remember having seen this F-117 before?
And finally for today, here is an interesting target airfield on the Fallon, NV ranges.

Is this the C-23 84-0463 reported to be stored at Redstone AAF, AL?

I presume that these 6 F-4s on the ramp at Miramar were taken a long time ago? They don’t look like QF-4s as I don’t see any dayglo on the wings. Any views?
