Air India Express was the last airline to use LHR on a delivery flight werent they?

Didn’t a Kenyan 737 come through in the last couple of weeks?

Kenya Airways gets its B737s delivered through LHR. I used to live near heathrow in the mid 80’s and quite often saw flights landing on the cross runway in bad weather.

Interestingly, the BAES site mentions that the Herti UAV was test flown from Machrihanish whilst others were flown at Woomera.

Then moving across the border into Ecuador and Eloy Alfaro where you can see one of the USAF anti-drug operations E-3s on the ramp along with a bunch of T-33s and also 2 preserved a/c. Note that the preserved a/c are a long way in past the main gate :-(.

You can tell it was a busy afternoon in the office…

Firstly, a couple of preserved airframes at Captain Montes airfiled in Peru (one a Su-22?).

Check out El Pato AFB just to the north east of here where you can see 15 Su-25 and 1 Su-22.

Do you know something we don’t then? As I don’t know the truth but something out of the ordinary must of happened that night as the base and surrounding area was closed off, and if I recall, unmarked US registered jets flew in (Gov 757 I think) and at least one C-5 flew in to pick up the wreckage!

Anyone with any more detail? I presume it may have been an F-117 or B-2???

But the Aurora theory is an interesting one and makes great bar talk! :p

Is there actually any **proof** that any of these aircraft actually went into Boscombe. I remember the coverage that one of the magazines gave it but I thought at the time it was rather short on factual facts – I seem to remember that the SOCOM C-137 was supposed to have gone into Exeter due to the presence of the Instute of Sound and Vibration reserach in Southampton – something which seemed tenous at best.

OK, still south of the border but heading up the Chilean coast line instead. Here are a few some nice views.

Some interesting preserved aircraft at Cerro Moreno. Just off the screen on the ramp to the left is a F-16. Is that a Hunter I see in the middle and a B-26 to the north of it?

Quintero. Again, is that a Hunter there in the middle?

Vina del Mar has an interesting set of preserved aircraft and an active P-3 on the nearby ramp.

Loftleider. To think you used to be able to fly across the Atlantic (via Luxembourg) at low prices on a CL-44…..
