    I personally had to laugh at this story, how the devil does a major a/p run out of fuel

    I htough of the same thing when I read your post. Maybe there was a leak.:D

    I like. I do have a few questions…

    1. Is that a German flag near the tail? If so why?

    2. Why is the “hammer and sickel” emblem still used?

    Thanks. I knew it was a Sea something.

    Did the Sopwith go into production before the Fokker DR1? (I don’t know if I have the correct designation, The Fokker Triplane that the Red Baron used.) Also, how many of the Sopwith Triplanes were there? This is the first time that I saw one.

    If the plane is British, could it be a Welkin or Whirlwind? If its not British, maybe a German Heinkel He111?
