BACON I think.
Flybe announced NWI then axed it before commencement (ironically that would have had 3 operators as well – bmi Reg, Eastern & Flybe- had the latter proceeded). I can’t see Flybe backing off this time, would not enhance their reputation up here if they did the same a 2nd time.
Given BACON’s “troubles” going by what you hear, they may be the ones to go.
Agree cannot see 3 operators on one route.
You don’t mention times, but I assume it would have been the big airport in the west of London.
LGW much further south, doubt you would see aircraft over London town heading for LGW at 2000ft descending.
Yes I’d say LHR.
BA’s loss bmi’s gain????
(Unless bmi go on strike, as seems possible!! )
Terrorist plot disrupted = disruption = terrorists get their way.
Terrorist plot succeeds = loss of life/disruption = terrorists get their way.
😡
Makes it worse they are UK-born or at least based.
Worse, Al Queda has now become an IDEAL for many copy-cat organisations & it is not just a terror group in its own right anymore.
Should bring back the death penalty if they are guilty.
Bliar still think his actions have nothing to do with it, as he basks in the Carribbean somewhere????
Can’t resist.
One Ford Focus (if that’s what it is) with stickers & a set of yellow lights does not an airline make.
Perhaps they’re using that to take people on their hols. More chance than an ATR42.
Cynical?? Moi??
No wonder they weren’t repainting the US-acquired a/c.
Very smart new cols. 😎
Exactly.
I’m not retracting one word of what I think.
A waste of everyone’s time.
My last word on the “subject”.
Ah, the old jump from ATR42 to B733 trick ! 😮 AND in less than a year.
And from there to B787 or A380 & world domination.
There’s as much chance of this “taking off” as van Nistelrooy has of being Man U’s greatest ever goal scorer.
ie. NONE.
Stick to boy racing. You’re making this up as you go along.
Been reading on the OTHER website (the one that goes with Custard 😉 ) of rumours about a new bmi Baby domestic route, but to a destination that Baby hasn’t served before. It’s also not a “new” route for BHX, so there is already a carrier serving it. Seems to rule out GLA as Baby serves EMA from GLA.
Suggestions are possibly INV, ABZ or NCL.
The rumours are all a bit of a tease but the “clues” suggest (only suggest mind !) that it could be ABZ.
Would it be possible that Baby will nip to & fly an ABZ route in competition with BACON before Flybe launch their BHX-ABZ route in Mar 2007?
Oh NO……..just seen this !
Alpha THREE !
GK:
Why are you only “99.99%” sure it’s a school project?
I’m 100% sure !!! 😉
London to Durham in an MD83… 😮
Claptrap.
Hope this isn’t the beginnings of Alpha TWO.
(Opening can of worms… :dev2: )
Just to update this, hopefully some of the delays experienced by people at Sumburgh will be alleviated by the new ILS that has just been installed.
Atlantic A/W have said they may review the STN-LSI flights on account of the disruption caused by fog.
Very nice to see the Local Mr Be 🙂
One of these days I’ll return to taking the odd photo at Dyce.
😮 And here’s me thinking you lot were experts on aviation! :p
Jethro any ideas re the Saab 2000s, you have one as due, but has been “due” for a while now.
Oops, sorry, SB20 😉
Re FlyBE:
Yes SOU-EDI will be E195.
Also BHX-ABZ when it is launched. This should put them in competition with BACON & their E145s.
