    What happened?? 😮

    Blame mice myself…

On the other hand the 747 may just have sliced through the 145’s tail.

Or the 145 taxied through the Jumbo’s wing.

    Hard to tell…

    Excellent reports Craigston Tom.

Was the inbound LHR-ABZ full also?

One question – MON Scheduled do ABZ-AGP direct 3 days a week, why didn’t you use that rather than route via LHR & BCN? Was it a better deal to do it that way rather than use MON?

ABZ has played host to A340, A330, L1011, B777, B763 over the years.

If you’re lucky you will see AN12/26/72/74. These are fairly regular on oil freight runs, but don’t have advanced knowledge of when they come.

Also regular bizjets, again mainly oil-related. GLF4 left for USA this morning.

Ain’t such a quiet place anymore.

I don’t believe there is anything specific (eg. Offshore Europe conference, which is held every 2yrs in Sept, which blosters pax numbers).

It is just the booming local economy, & people coming/going on business/holiday & oil guys travelling on/offshore on the helis.

Passenger numbers have been rising for the past couple of years now after being in the doldrums.

ABZ currently (& has been for a while) BAA Scotland’s fastest growing airport re pax numbers.

Rolling Annual Total exceeds 3m now.

Proposed runway ext will, if approved by the Council, help bring in more destinations in the future. BAA have submitted a plan to Aberdeen Council for this.

Seems T3 don’t place much faith in expansion at their home base of HUY.

There was a City Star flight t/f OSL yesterday evening X9 105/6.

It was though operated by a DO328 of Scot Airways, which positioned to DND after the inbound leg.

    City Star ops suspended

X9 have suspended ops until the AAIB enquiry is carried out & a reason for the overrun established.

Suppose they had no choice, as don’t yet know if fault is just to that particular a/c or could affect the other 2 they have in their fleet.

I hope this doesn’t affect their ops permanently, they have built up a loyal clientel.

    Evening gents from Aberdeen!

Can confirm D328 of City Star f SVG landed 34 & ran off other end, stuck in grass 100-150m beyond 16 threshold.

Pleased to say no injuries & a/c itself OK believe, just very stuck.

A/C diverting, no more fixed-wing inbounds tonight I suspect.
