Thing is, had this been the Middle East or China, such a project would have gone ahead by now.
Perhaps not such a problem for ME (lots of open space called desert!) I suppose more ethical issues if it is anyone else though.
Impression I get though is this country of ours has more Red Tape than…a Red Tape factory.
It’s a bloody disgrace Paddypower can get away with this. 33/1 for bmi is a scandal for a start…
Sure it wasn’t just the microwave you heard? 😀

These low cost airlines are getting worse! 😀
Yes Ren, the reports do suggest some or all of the crew that did the Sat IBZ-ABZ early arrival did go into town that evening for drinkees…including the flight crew.
There but for the Grace of God, I’m sure others will be whispering…
My pleasure to see a VC10 of the RAF earlier this year at Aberdeen, still a beautiful sight.
Oh, I’ve seen that advert too…”shop at BAA…”
(psst….what about your AIRLINES, your ROUTES, etc)
Ahh………
Re ABZ, my local – quelle surprise I’m afraid, BAA has NEVER had its best interests at heart. “Cash cow” is the phrase that comes to mind.
Interesting that the Commission is recommending some form of “regulation” re ABZ to help develop routes etc. Wonder how that would work in practice?
How do these losers get their hands on these lasers anyway?
I agree with an earlier suggestion…tie him to a wall, tape his eyes open & shine the laser at a distance of, say 1ft away…half an hour should do the trick. Then let him wander away & blunder into the path of the nearest car…
