Surely a case of expansion too soon?

Should maybe stick to serving bucket & spade flights from UK to Europe, plus city breaks with their 737 fleet.

Then once they are established flying those, then look to expand further afield.

At the moment, they are tarnishing their reputation with all the problems.

I hope they don’t go out of business, they are serving ABZ in a way that other UK airlines seem reluctant, in the main, to. And they have also been in the main reliable on their ABZ routes.

One thing’s for sure, if GSM do go under, I cannot see other UK airlines rushing to serve my local – traffic can increase by 20% on international routes (as it just has done) but it wouldn’t make any difference.

    Drive ? YES
    Self-Belief? YES

    ABILITY in civil aviation? ????????

    YOU DECIDE…

I can see Halstead though as the “Tre” of the 2008 Apprentice! :diablo:

(I’m sure even HE could sell coffee in central London…:) )

So can we see Mr Halstead venturing into the airline business again, & will his second venture be as successful as his first seems to have been? 😀

    Allegedly…

I thought he just went out of business because, according to many, he was incapable of running his airline to the business plan he envisaged.

I did not realise he sold Alpha One for a huge profit, but there you go.

Man of many talents. First school, then an “airline”, then internet TV, then a music shop…where next for the Baby Branson?

    Yes, interesting article indeed.

Wonder if it is new or used Q300s they are looking for.

Also of interest in the article I saw was that T3 are in talks with a number of airports in Central Europe to open at least one Central European base.

RL is convinced they can take the T3 business model into Europe.

One thing for sure…T3 will never enter the stock market, if RL has anything to do with it, judging by his comments!

ABZ is a mix of E145/F70/F100 just now. Delays to deliveries have meant that the lesser-spotted E195 has been a rare beast indeed. Think Regional have only been able to fly it up once to ABZ since the summer scheds.

Good luck to AF on the BRS route. Don’t see why CDG should replace AMS, both have operated quite happily up here for a few years now, since AF returned to the route.

Well the 1730 arrival from TFS didn’t get into ABZ until about 0220 today, 8+ hrs delay.

ALC was due 0130 today, similarly delayed as result.

Problems at TFS, or problems at GSM???
