Is that a third engine on the side of that Puma?
this is a AS332 SUPER PUMA also named AS532 COUGAR for military Customer. on the left side there is an air conditionning system located in this ugly boxe. this is a modification for VIP transport. near each air filters you have a small fan, and in the middle air entry for oïl cooling system. all from memory.

weight reduction to simplify the balance of elevator, rudder and aileron.

In future, have the parts shipped to France (for instance) & then forwarded. France doesn’t charge import duty/tax etc as the parts are just passing through.. & the UK doesn’t charge because the parts “came from France”.
& yes, this system works, it has done for years.
stupid, if you ship to France you need to show an adress, so VAT, duty plus cost of forwardind in France too. so for all my Professional import I know I will pay between 2.5 to 5% for freight and 20ù for VAT.

I’d say a Moth Major looks a bit like a Luciole. But then, I am biased! However I did enjoy watching the film. Now what were the parasol wing monoplane and the glider that featured in the background of the aerodrome scenes? Your starter for ten!
caudron C800 and Morane MS 315.

do you want a scan of the good pages of the magazine? need a mail adress. to my knowledge parts will be on show in the new aeroscopia museum in toulouse Blagnac in 2015 and some parts will go to a german museum too.

I have seen a prospector in the hangar of Rouseeau Aviation at DINARD in 1971 or 1972. no idea of the registration. Strange discovery. at that time there was still a good number of gipsy engines in stock (stock clear now) used on Fokker D VII replicas build by RA . no trace of the spitfire owned by C rousseau, back to UK.
The day of my visit was the day of the crash of a RA N262 FBNMO. bad day, bad ambiance.

no idea of the exact status of the B25 but I believe it is still at melun villaroche in France. the probable Handler of the B25 is SPDA (C AMARA) and to have more détails I suggest you to contact France flying warbirds, a warbird association based at melun villarcoche which group various planes including SPDA planes as P51, P40 etc.
good luck with your B25, nice job

When I was there last week, these were the words being used about his S-38. He had been after it for years, out of reach, had a flight in it with owner and pulled off a deal.
I heard the same last week at Polk with Kermit speaking near his mustang. nice quick presentation, surprised he is now in the books for kids, why not.

Hi members
First of all as a new member, I’d like to introduce myself
I live in France near Toulouse, I’m a Flight test air traffic controler; former military ATC in the Army Aviation.
I’m also a flight gear collector, and started to gather some MIII instruments.
I’m planning to restaure a M IIIB or C front panel. I have almost all the instruments except few items that I’m still looking for and which are listed below:
– Failure display panel type 986-5
– the panel itself.
– Square warning button “Train non sorti”/ undercarriage not down (?)
– 2 fuse-jettison panel.If any member living in a Mirage III-country-user could help !!!
Cheers
check with the guys at savigny les beaunes, there is a club or association maintening the A/C collection and they must have a good number of spare parts, may be instruments for mirage III.
good luck

The Morane-Sauliner Aircraft Factory at Puteaux, France, was taken over in 1942 for the production of the Fieseler Fi.156 Storch(Stork). After the war production continued with the aircraft being known as the MS-500 Criquet and fitted with various engine combinations.
Serial No. 338, the one at Duxford and built post war, was a MS-502 model with a 230hp Salmson 9AB radial engine. After it arrived at Duxford in 1983 the Salmson radial engine was replaced with a German Argus AS10 engine.
Brian
was a MS505 model with a jacob radial engine and the jacob was replace with an argus AS10 engine. I do not believe salmson engine were still existing in 1980 on MS500.

Thanks Andy ,
In that case you must have seen the new Sopwith Strutter flying.
Did you have a good look at the spitfire — Real or fake? —

Does anyone know what engines it’s using?
yes, two 6 cylinders from lyco or conti, previously used if I rememeber well on a aerocommander 580 (or similar number). I have a small doubt about the a/c type, because I believe the replica breguet 14 at toulouse is also equipped with the same engine from same type of aircraft, so a doubt on original a/c. sorry.
