yeah there’s something wrong with that figure..the Tejas had crossed an envelope of Mach 1.4 by the end of 2006 itself as per the Standing Committee on Defence report to the Parliament. This must’ve been at sea level or something that the DDM (the guy calls Air Commodore Rohit Varma as Commander Varma, which indicates he’s not really a defence correspondent) didn’t catch. a pity.
Thats what I was wondering. Could it be that the plane traveled at the maximum allowable speed at sea-level?
That J-XX “tri-plane” config (SAC/601?) was eliminated early from what I heard. The one that is said to have been selected is the CAC/611 proposal.

It was speculated that 601 Institute was working on a “tri-plane” design based on canard/conventional layout/V-shape tailfin

Hui Tong has updated his H-6M entry : http://cnair.top81.cn/q-5_jh-7_h-6.htm%5D (scroll down to H-6M)
A PLAAF H-6M (?) cruise missile carrier was seen here carrying two CJ-10K ALCMs and an ECM pod. First entering service in 2007, this new variant (serial # 40x7x) has probably been converted from the older H-6F, as its twin 23mm tailguns are retained. Simliar to the naval H-6G, the aircraft was modified with a large chin mounted surface search radar and two pairs of underwing pylons. Other noticeable features are the much improved self-protecting measures including forward MAWS sensors in the nose, RWR antennas on the vertial tailfin tip, and chaff/flare dispensers along the side of rear fuselage. The CJ-10K ALCM is carried underneath the large inner pylon while an ECM pod is carried underneath the smaller outer pylon. The same type of ALCM is also carried by H-6K (see below). Therefore H-6M is speculated to be a low-cost, stop-gap solution until the more advanced H-6K enters PLAAF service.

H-6G appear to be carrying the same pods?

Hope to see some results about this WVR engagements, (Rafale vs F22), 22s have TVCs, so they probably were in advantage in some conditions

But Raptor does NOT carry the AIM-9X + HMD. EF-Typhoon at least carry ASRAAM and Rafale MICA-IR.
J 10B ?
Its still in prototype stage, plus it has to enter service with the PLAAF before being exported.
Exactly what I thought. But there is no way in hell Ecuador would require four AEW aircraft of this class… ๐
I guess it could be $43,8mil which puts some nice possibilities in.. K-8 or L-15, perhaps?
L-15? Its not ready…..
K-8? That certainly could be the case. But even at 43.8 mil; thats 10+ mil per plane. How much does the K-8 go for? Maybe its a full deal that include some extras…..
438 Million US$ for 4 planes???!!! ๐ฎ Did someone misplace the decimal point?
The only planes from PRC that could cost 100+ million US$ a piece could be some sort of surveillance plane (AEW?).
MLG
Main Landing Gear
๐ PAK FA looks approximately so. The basic racks of the chassis as at Su-34, two-wheeled.
Well….Paralay…. it might look like this after all……

WOW!
Anybody have the dimensions and weights for this version? One can’t help but be reminded of the Pershing II when looking at it. (Always thought the Pershing II would make a good antiship missile if they could figure out the targeting.)

DF-15B is a modification of the original DF-15. Just has a different warhead. There is another one DF-15C
Roughly, the DF-15 is 9m in length and 1m diameter. 600km (DF-15)
Partly true J 11 A not stolen. J 11 B stolen :). Lavi Original Concept bought (not stolen) but has significant Chinese inputs.

We all know that there is some conflict when it comes to the J-11B and later variants. We will have to wait and see how things turn out. Off-course there is no issue (legally) with the first 105 J-11/11A planes. Contention is with later variants.
But the article states :
…
J-10, J-11 and FC-1 fighter jets, which are rip-offs of Russiaโs Su-27/30 and MiG-29 aircraft

Maybe this news is from an alternate reality…..
