I’m personally not yet convinced that this new missile is called PL-15, because previously the “old” PL-15 was said to have been tested on J-20 and J-10B/C as well as on J-16.
For the moment I’m calling this thing the “new” PL-15/PL-XX while the previous missile is “old” PL-15/crop variant PL-12.

Yeah, it is a very big missile. Definitely not going to fit inside the J-20. So probably a long-ranged “AWACS killer” and maybe an anti-tanker role as well.

A J-16 seem to have carried out test firings of these new missile.

Deino (thanks) just stuck in Facebook a few images of a J-16 with a pair of HUGE AAM´s(?)

AAM?
ASAT?
ARM?Any idea?

For the 1st time J-10B carrying a dummy YJ-91. Second sequence from an actual test firing (I think?). J-10B/C moving toward being multirole. Previously J-10A was limited to guided and unguided bombs. This is I think the 1st time they’ve released footage of ARM being carried. Now the Question is, can it carry anti-ship missiles such as YJ-91A.

INDIAN AIR MARSHAL says J-20 not so stealthy, Rafale more stealthy!
Damn, the J-20 is doomed :apologetic:
PAK-FA does indeed have better engines and TVC integrated to it. So in an old fashion dog-fight I would say advantage PAK-FA.
The part where they could track the Virginia SSN and very capable SSK from NATO is interesting
Totally Agreed!
I like NATO names. For a fighter even “fu***r” is a valid code name 😉 :highly_amused: :stupid: :very_drunk:
It seems the longer one is the EM cat and recent test of J-15T launch had occurred on the EM cat.

Catapult test facility:

Didn’t realize how similar to Project 1143.5 the new carrier is shaping up:

No surprises there TR1. The class designation givne is Type 001A while Liaoning CV16 was Type 001. Internally there maybe no change from the 001. The only visible changes are to the island. It is about 10m shorter than 001 possibly allowing more planes to be on the deck along with the newer AESA and few other change. But overall it is pretty much the same. The Type-002 class will do away with the ski-jump. Test systems for both steam and EM cats are about to begin. There are newer satellite images of the cat facility. A J-15T was rumored to have been successfully launched from the EM test cat. Deino uploaded a few satellite photos of the facility recently.
This is the PAK-FA thread. You seem to have a serious comprehension problem. You have to be seriously intellectually challenged not see the difference between the characters even if you can’t read it.
