Since this is a JAS-39 Vs. JF-17 *you know what* measuring contests…
Has anyone seen the difference between airshow minimum radius turns of the 2 planes? Best for Gripen i’ve seen is 15-16s.
by the way….. whats this fetish with the DSI?

Ahhhhh….yes…… There is something about the classic MiG-31 (and MiG-25). You just never really get fedup of it. Those good ole Soviet day pics have some extra kick in it… :dev2: 😎
J-21/(F-60 export designation?) is not the Chinese F-22. That goes to the J-20. it is low-cost alternative to the F-35 and is targeted for export as well. Not everyone can afford the F-35. But its not clear whether this will be the final layout of the plane.
A few good shots of the tip of the spear of the Algerian Air Force , Su-30MKA.

I’m also would like to know how well the Wings feed the air off the the elevators further back, cause the way the wing connects to the elevators is something i’ve never seen before.
I think the X-35 (and F-35?) have something similar – Image-1, Image-2, Image-3
Looks like Mitsubishi is experimenting with it too : Image-1
I guess you can have lager control surface area by fitting it like that?

There is some confusion regarding this. One recent rumor has 2 contenders for the J-10B RADAR. Above image is of the losing PESA, while the winner is an AESA by the 14th Institute. Dunno what to think of it

Its not just the People of Kilinochchi, its the people of whole country for the past 30 – 40 years. War Crimes is not something new here. It has been committed by all sides in a big way for decades. I’ve lived here all my life and seen horrible thing with my own eyes. For me countries use Human Rights/War Crimes only as a tool. Right now the West makes a lot of noise but India is Silent. Prior to 2005, especially before 2002, India made a lot of noise but the US and to a lesser extent Europe was silent. We’ve seen this “Human Rights” circus for decades. Nations/Politicians only give
about their own interest. Nobody (neither the West nor others) cared when 66,000 people died in the south due a Marxists insurrection from 1987-1989. Currently we are heavily allied with India strategically. Chinese influence is purely economics and at a non-strategic level. But even when it comes to economics, Oil/Natural gas exploration priority goes to Indian companies (I am hearing rumors that the Northern blocks will be exclusively for India). I….actually WE Sri Lankans have seen this circus for a long time. We are kinda used to it.
PS: Its not a BBC documentary, its a Channel-4 documentary (if you can call it that), and there is nothing really new in that for people here. Maybe for people outside but not us. We’ve been seeing most of those video clips and images long before in our local forums & media. [/off-topic]
^^^ One rumored request from India seems to be that the SLN should PREVENT the fisherman from entering SL waters in the first place. Warn them, Chase them away with some thing non-lethal way etc, etc. instead of waiting until they crossed the line.
One problem is SL does not have a proper Courst Guard. The SLN does the work of a CG. But, don’t forget the SLN is used to fighting the LTTE-N and not normal fisherman. SLCG was established but the SLN still does the bulk of it. A proper Coast Guard is need and keep the navy out of issues like this.
Ok, regarding the issue about Indian fisherman, here is a view from the SL :),
Barring some serious error, no chance in hell will the SLN would go into Indian waters (or even International waters) and attack Indian fisherman (The ICG can sink the SLN. No need for the IN). The current SL Govt. literally takes orders from New Delhi. You don’t seem to understand the strategic significance here. From local news more than 1000 large Indian fishing trawlers poach in Sri Lankan waters, specifically TN trawlers. Tamil Nadu wants the “Kachchatheevu” island back which in 1974 was ceded by India to Sri Lanka. This is one of the main reasons for the Anti-SL rhetoric in TN :

If this sale goes through (and I highly doubt it), it is not only IPR guarantees the Russkies will seek, but also basing locations. The RuAF itself wouldn’t want to go head-to-head with Su-35S anytime in the future…..
Why? An export Su-35 won’t be at the same level as the RuAF planes. (Especially to a large neighbor). Who knows… maybe even a fail-safe/kill-switch if the plane approaches the border :dev2:.

Precious picture indeed…..
