only since yesterday the IDF took another step, and from now on, after every Qassam beeing fired to Israel, the IDF will warn the civilians live in area X, and after they left the place in the time they have, or didn’t left – their problem, the IDF will destroy the area.
This new policy is another step we took in the war with the Qassams, while now the IDF will also target Urban places, and buildings.
The IDF is handaling very well with the Qassams launchers, and they’re beeing killed 4 by 4 daily, but untill it will stop, our reactions will only escalate.
This is NOT our job to take care of those terrorists! It is NOT.
The Hamas is the one who suppose to handle them, and each day we only recieve reports about the HAMAS taking HAND!!!!!!! on the Qassams firing into Israel!.

So Israel will evacuate the West Bank, which is not ” only ” 10,000 people like we had in Haza Strip, it is between 70,000 to 100,000 people to evacuate! and you’re saying that we SHOULD do that without any gurentee for stop the firing from the Palestinians side?!

First of all saying that Israel must get rid of the its nuclear arsenal, just waste of time.
Israel will never get rid of its nukes, and even if we’ll say we had, nukes will still be hidden in this place or another in the country.
The major problem Israel have now is the West Bank.
Most of the Israeli citizens, including me, wanting Israel to get out of the West Bank and evacuate the settelers we can evacuate.
But all of us, including me, sees the big big problem Israel is creating while we’re beeing separated from the West Bank.
As you know, or doesn’t know, Qassams rockets are falling on Israeli cities daily, fired from Gaza strip to Israeli territory, and they’re improving them all the time.
And few Katyushas was fired already.
If Israel will pull out its forces from the West Bank, the Palestinians in there will be able to launch rockets on all of Center of Israel, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Netanya, and of all of this within a little upgrade to their rockets.
The MAJOR problem, is Ben Gurion National Airport.
The Airport is only 10KM from the west bank border, and no one can take that chance that they will do something to civilian aircraft.
It is reported that they recieved few Anti-Aircrafts missiles, smuggeled from Egypt, and we just CAN’T take that chance, not the chance of firing on Tel Aviv, and not the chance that they will shoot down aircrafts!.
That’s why, Israel can’t evacuate 70,000 people before we have ANY kind of agreenment with the Palestinian authority! this is just suicide!
When HAMAS will recognize Israel as a state, and will agree to sit down and talk, maybe something will chance,
but untill they wont control all of their civilians, and will gurantee for us that the terror will stop, how can we trust them!? or if I can say, they wasn’t even agreed us to trust them! so how can we evacuate people and let them get so much closer to our cities?!
There is no solution other than the Hamas to make it, they need to make the change first, not us.

The Israeli GDP Per Capita for 2006 is a bit more than 25,000$, and for the first quarter of 2006 we had 6.6% growth rate.
And the Population exceeded 7MIL people.

Israel used only 300M from the US aid to Israel, from a total cost of almost 5B from this purchase.
For the AH-64D Israel didn’t used any.
for the F-15I, 2B dollars payed only from Israel’s budget.

What about Egypt gets almost the exact same aid as Israel does from the US, yearly?

4X-ILFewer F-16s than Israel has, & lower specification. No equivalent of Israels F-15s. Early model Mirage 2000s. Other planes obsolete. Fewer than 1000 M1, & lower spec than US M1s. And everyone agrees that Egypts armed forces still suffer from the organisational & cultural weaknesses which they had last time they fought Israel.

we’re talking about 220 F-16 coming from 1 country, in one side of Israel.
Even if they had only 500 tanks, which they have much more, a tank is still a tank, and no matter how big the Israeli advantage, its going to be a hell of a battle if Israel and Egypt goes to war.
Israel needs to keep its advantage over Egypt, and the JSF, and the F-15I, is perfect for that, because THEY doesn’t have those!.
Thats why Israel is now on their way to purchase another squadron of F-15I, because we know it will take the JSF alot of time to be out, and we have to keep our advantage.

Egypt is not what it used to be, and in case of revoloution in there, it will be very very dangerous to the stability between Israel and egypt.
Egypt is now a very capable country, and of course Israel is still much stronger, but its not something anyone here takes for granted.

The main reason Israel wants the JSF is because of Egypt.

4X-ILFirst of all, there is nothing for free for Israel. LM is payed by Israel for its F-16Is. LM earns money from that and has the related profits!
It is true, that Israel gets money from the US-taxpayers via the US-administration. One part as direct help and the mayor part is given as loan. The real benefits from the last, are the lower intrests-rates at first, when compared to the free financial market. It is similar to Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan and some other US-clients around the word. That help is not for free, but related to a political price. This aside, the Israelis have to spend the money given or freed inside the USA. That money is not enough to cover all military imports from the USA and a lot of Israeli money is added too. Israel has not the advantage to get USAF-prices, but it has to pay the “export-prices”. So a F-15I comes to ~83 Mio US $ and not all related costs are covered by that.
When it comes to the APG-68 V9, we had to differ between reality and advertisement! The Israelis have/had their experiences with the capable Norden APG-76 at first (Kurnass 2000), when “your” pilot given compares the APG-68V9 to what ?, an older APG-68?!
Israel wanted at start the ELM-2032 on the F-16I, which is a much more capable radar than the APG-68 V9, but as again, the US refused.

No one published anything about it in the newspaper, and I read the articles about the F-16I.

Israel wanted the Elta radar after everything, the Elta radar is better than any APG-68 radar varient, including the one we currently have.
Some of the articles published about this case, was titled ” Lower performance for the F-16I – US denie Israeli radar from the F-16I ( something like that in Hebrew ).
4X-ILWrong again. The F-35 has a different system and software. It is like jumping from “Windows 98” to “Windows XP”. The USA is not willing to share the knowledge about that. The F-16 was an evulation/upgrade from technology of the 70s. Of cause Israel looked for an own radar for that, because the APG-68 for the Israeli examples was reduced by software allowed for export to Israel. From their experiences with the APG-76 Israel demanded more capabilities from the APG-68.
Similar situation about the F-15I.
To ease the temper. The F-16-60 of the Omanis are the most advanced in hardware, but despite software restrictions those are still inferior to USAF F-16-50 examples in electronics.
Can you show me a source saying the APG-68 in the Israeli F-16I have been reduced?
Cause from what I know from my friends in the IAF, we wanted the ELTA radar because it was much better, and it is better than what is currently on the F-16I.
