Why does it have to be Boeing and Airbus? I have flown on fine aircraft from other manufacturers apart from the “big two”.

I have enjoyed flying on the Fokker 27 and the Fokker 50, the ERJ135 and 145, the ARJ100 and ARJ85 and the BAe 146. They all had good points – with the Fokkers having excellent viewing, the ERJs having reasonable legroom for the size of the aircraft (and nice to have a one or two seat option rather than being in a three seater where someone could end up in the same row and insist on talking to you throughout the flight, which I hate!)

I love the 747 for its size and the engine roar on take off.

The TriStar was a supremely attractive aircraft, more so than the DC10 which I found rather ugly. The TriStar had a better shaped nose and the engine in the tail looked better than the engine layout of the DC10.

The MD82 was a nice aircraft to fly on provided you weren’t on the back row where the window was obscured by the engine. Further forward the aircraft had excellent viewing.

I love to photograph the A330 from the front to emphasize its superb wingspan, but I have never been on one so I don’t know what they’re like to fly on.

A householder should have the right to kill a burglar. In my opinion someone committing a criminal act forfeits their rights, it’s time we put the emphasis on ordinary people being able to protect their homes and families rather than hand wringing and bleating about the rights and welfare of criminal rubbish.

The man who dealt with this burglar needs a medal, and, lets face it, it’s guaranteed to have stopped it committing any more crimes!

As the real dog’s name was Nigger, then it should have been kept for the film. I get sick and tired of our history being re-written to suit political correctness.

You’ve already said that in Historic Forum, it was actually quite good coverage.
It wasn’t a programme about the BBMF with a wedding thrown in!

The way the flypast had been hyped up in the press and on TV you would have expected something better than what was shown – cockpit coverage, the aircraft approaching the palace and then cutting to the balcony and the aircraft not seen again. Just for a few seconds they could have shown the planes as they flew over and away, but no. It was crap.

It would have been even better to see the Lancaster!

Murderers should be executed, and those executions should be painful. They deserved all they got and what a pity the export of these drugs is banned from the UK, they are being put to good use and at least these killers won’t harm anyone else.

This was the funniest thing I’ve seen all week, let alone today 😀

Very nice toasted with cream cheese (ordinary or garlic like Boursin). That is my favourite way to eat bagels.
