My other dog had to be terminated(bad word but dont know the proper one) this summer after his stomage strangely swolled into huge and he could barely move and eat. No one knew why it happened and what coused it but it was a week of very painfull suffering for him and we decided to let him go…he was 8 years old and was around trough the latter part of my childhood so it was kinda severe blow…
People rarely understand how deeply you can become touched whit your pets inspite Im not any animal lover…in fact i generally dislike them

So my sympaties are whit you comet 🙁 But yuo’ll get over it…

Thank you Gollevainen. The term you are looking for is “euthanased” or “put to sleep”. It sounds like your dog had a bloat, that is very nasty.

We still have the cat, so the flat doesn’t seem as empty but we won’t be able to have another dog.

Thanks for your kind words. I am numb, that’s the only thing I can say. His death was totally unexpected, as he was OK before he had those fits. It must have been something really severe to leave him paralysed like it did.

Some idiots have used these things for shining at aircraft on approach. These things should not be advertised on here as not everyone who obtains them will be “responsible”.

Yes but that is all very dependent on the destinations your flying to/from. For example I’m flying to Dublin with FR next month and it cost £30 return, Dublin is not an airport in the middle of nowhere, no I do like an allocated seat but in most cases people do get what they want. I got a window on both my FR trips last year and didn’t find it to be a push and shove game.

Well the paying issue, it’s only a 50 minute flight so what would I want to pay for? 😉 . These issues all link with each other really don’t they 😎

With DUB you are lucky, but consider Paris – they use Beauvais, which no one else uses for Paris flights. For Brussels they use Charleroi which does not have the efficient transport links of Brussels National. There are others but I cannot think of them off the top of my head.

The best thing to do with whales in this situation is leave them. Very often when whales go off course, or beach, they die despite the best efforts of people to prevent this. And the stress caused to the whale by hoisting it up like they did must be extreme.

The best thing and the kindest thing would have been to let the whale either find its own way back to the sea, or die naturally.

Price is important, but if you shop around you can get some good online deals with full service carriers. Yesterday I bagged return flights NCL-BRU for less than £90. Considering that I am flying with a full service carrier who I happen to rate very highly, I find that a good price.

On the other hand, I could never fly with Ryanair. OK, their prices are cheap, but for that you get taken to an airport in the middle of nowhere, with probably crap transport links to the city you want to get to, you don’t get allocated a seat at check in (something I find important, I don’t like the idea of a free for all) and you have to pay for anything you have on board.

    Love the RJ100 😀

And lucky to see two IB CRJs over here. I adore those planes, I wish I could have seen them both.

    Brilliant shots!

A question – who are TCS Expeditions? I’ve not heard of them.

Some of those AA crews are paranoid! When I was in MAN the other week I was hanging around near their aircraft to get some nice shots and no one batted an eyelid. But in BRU in 2004 I was with a group of Belgian spotters taking videos and photos of an AA 767 as it was about to leave. Shortly after the police came and moved us on. That was the first and only time I’ve had hassles spotting.
