My favourite – Belgium. The best beer in the world, the best food in the world (especially chips), nice photogenic towns and the Ardennes are very nice too. And the best airline in the world.

Wouldn’t go back – Cyprus and Tenerife because we went before they got ruined by lager louts and yobs and so I wouldn’t want to go back and see how much they have changed. Same goes for Iceland – we used to go there every year until it got ruined and became fashionable to go for all night drinking and partying. And I wouldn’t go back to Hawaii either because it was too hot with nothing to do and I was bored out of my head.

I remember thinking that I must watch that, and we didn’t put the TV on until about 20 minutes before the end, just as the Ambassador was starting its fateful attempt at take off. I hope it will be repeated then I could see it all from beginning to end.

It is hard to find three top airlines, as I only fly with one regularly 😀 But I shall add my own slant to this:

Favourite of All Time The one and only Sabena. Great service, friendly professional crews, nice aircraft which were comfortable and clean. Pleasant in flight snacks.

Current Favourite SN Brussels Airlines – nice aircraft, friendly crews, and I just love that logo on the tail – brings tears to the eyes!

Another Favourite VLM. I like the Fokker 50, their crews are professional and pleasant, the inflight food is good and I love flying from LCY. If ever I couldn’t get flights on SNBA then I would fly with VLM.

No one is ever told they must show respect towards, and tolerance of, British culture, so why should British people always be expected to bend over backwards to accommodate the wishes and sensitivities of others? I happen to find the glorification of terrorism and the lauding of suicide bombers as heroes and martyrs extremely vile and distasteful, bu Muslims are still allowed to do that so no mention there of them being expected to adhere to the sensitivities of the British people is there?

For your stalling problem, try adjusting the vertical speed. If this is too high then you will get a stall but as you reduce the vertical speed then the aircraft should be OK. I have had this problem with some of mine and reducing the vertical speed has been the usual cure.

I don’t have a Concorde so I can’t help with the speed question.

Great photos, the Air Berlin Fokker 100 is my favourite, I think I bagged that one last June.

Nice to see the AZ 170, I have never been lucky enough to get that one at MAN but it turned up in BHX so I got a lot of video of it. I think it’s an ugly aircraft though.

And nice to see old Tartan Tail Dash 8, that aircraft never fails to show up in MAN, I bet it’s based there! Pity that the ERJs are getting boring tails though.

Thanks for the replies! I think I have enough BA Airbuses to last a lifetime, but an EZY one will be more than welcome. Air Wales will be a good one as well.

Very nice, I don’t need to tell you which my favourite is 😀 The last time I saw a Belgian aircraft in Glasgow was a Sabena 146 in 2000 as I was on the bus back from a Uni field trip. It landed beside the bus as we went past.

Give the woman in the flat above me hell with the Madonna CDs (she hates Madonna 😀 )

That is not as bad as it sounds, for two and a half years I have endured her TV which is often on into the early hours, put on at about 3am when she goes on holiday, her feet make the place sound like the Serengeti stampedes so I am now getting my own back and she doesn’t like it one bit. The other week I had some music on and she started hammering on the ceiling, till I told her to go to hell and if she did any damage to my ceiling then she would pay every penny of the repair bill 😀

Noisy neighbouirs don’t bother when they are making the noise, but it is so satisfying to give them a taste of their own medicine 😀
