For local train travel we are stuck with First Trans Pennine and their Class 158s (see photo in first post to see a 158). When we get to York we have GNER (very good in First Class) or Virgin (lovely Voyagers but hellish problems with them this year when we’ve travelled on them).

For buses here we are stuck with Scarborough and District, who have put the prices up god knows how many times this year, whose buses stop at tea time, whose buses don’t run a proper service on a Sunday. The 128 Scarborough-Helmsley service is a nice ride though.

    But my favourites are:

Belgian railways (NMBS or SNCB), their trains run better to time, their fares are comparitively cheaper, their trains are longer than the two carriage things we are stuck with here, their trains have better Sunday services than we have, they have double decker trains for busy times. Beats the sh*t out of First Trans Pennine believe me.

For buses De Lijn of Belgium, fares which are cheaper than at home and buses which are bigger than what we have to put up with here.

lol, that’s a good way to put it.

Haven’t you noticed that every Coldplay songs starts with the same high pitched whine? They are just so depressing I can’t do to listen to them. I like music with a bit of something about it, a good tune. I don’t have a favourite group because if I like a song then I get it, no matter who sings it, but there are some I just don’t like the sound of. Coldplay and Natasha Bedingfield are two of them. I like mostly 80s music and ELO are also very good to listen to, especially when you are having a glass of beer and chilling out in the lounge.

As for Christmas number 1, the winner of X Factor, it’s a big fix anyway I think.

Well if you listen to local radio crap, then what do you expect to hear ? Why don’t you explore the world of DAB radio and try something like BBC Radio 6 music for example ??? 😀

Because we can’t get DAB here 🙁 We got a DAB radio last year after we phoned up to check if we were in the right area, the woman told us we were. But the radio would not pick anything up, and when I checked our details on the internet I found out that Filey can get DAB radio, but not Scarborough 😡 Scarborough is the back of the queue for everything, hell we can’t even get turkeys in Sainsburys yet, it’s just full of chickens, which gives you an idea of how crap things can be here compared to some other places. Scarborough will be the last place in the UK to get DAB I bet. But as soon as we can get it we will get a decent radio. We don’t listen to the local stuff as much now anyway, and if Coldplay or Natasha Bedingfield are played then I have to switch off.

When I was in work the other day we had radio 1 on, and I had to endure the new Coldplay whine in its entireity.

There has been a load of absolute crap in the charts this year. My favourite song has been Madonna’s most recent one, “Hung Up”. But when your local radio station plays utter garbage such as the wailing, whining depressing dirges of Coldplay, and the wailing, moaning, howling and shreiking Natasha Bedingfield, you don’t really keep up with what is in the charts or not. There was a good one by Black Eyed Peas a few months ago, but I just can’t remember the title so I can’t even get it as a download. And then that bloody grey thing which was in the charts during the summer, I was sick and tired of seeing it on TV. All in all, 2005 has been a rubbish year for music.

And I forgot to add, if all drug traffickers were dealt with in this way, then many pensioners would not have been beaten to a pulp and robbed of their pensions just so some crazed smackhead can get the money for its next fix 😡
