Great shots! The Ryanair 737 is my favourite of the bunch.

Well, if they have a 767-300 I hope it would be better behaved than the one in my collection. I had to abandon a VA flight just now because it refued to taxi correctly and when I did get the thing to the runway it would not take off 😡 It’s a POSKY one in BA colours so it should be a decent performer, but it isn’t 🙁

The problems don’t lie with my joystick, or my flying skills, because I don’t have this problem with other aircraft I fly and I would like to get in some 767 flights, so a well designed one of the type would get a thumbs up from me 😀

We don’t muck about with “customer service” call centres. If we have a problem with a company we write to the Chairman or CEO or Managing Director. Already this year my Mum has written to Adam Crozier (Royal Mail CEO) and told him in no uncertain terms what she thought of his call centre staff, and also the Managing Director of British Gas to complain about their call centre staff.

On both occasions the problems were sorted. If anyone wants to get some tips on complaining to the right people, who are not in India, then read this link http://www.luchtzak.be/postt9661.html. That is about the complaints, the letters and what the outcomes were.

Interesting that the seats aren’t leather on that aircraft. The VLM website makes quite a big deal out of the ‘all leather seating’.

Not all aircraft in the fleet have all-leather. In 2002 I remember OO-VLQ didn’t have leather, and neither did OO-VLS in 2003. When I flew on OO-VLV in 2003 that had leather and that was nice.

Great report by the way, I adore VLM, they are a fantastic airline and the Fokker 50 is a superb little aircraft. London City airport has the best approach in the UK, you can’t beat that nosedive down!

I am a member of Luxair VA. It’s address is http://www.luxairva.com

If you join you’ll have to start out on the ERJs and Fokker 50s.

anyone know why the BA 767 was there????

And I could ask the same about the Edelweiss.

Great shots, I like the Edelweiss and the Virgin best.

You’re right about not dial-up friendly, but well worth the wait 😀 I love the Dragonair Cargo and the Fokker 100 best, but they are all fantastic shots!

The area parallel to the runway is best, there are seats here so you can be comfortable as you spot 😀 I’ve used this bit to get some superb video footage, of both take offs and landings. You cannot go wrong there.

Weirdest looking bloody frog I’ve ever seen!

Can’t stand that damned advert, and if it’s on once in a break it’s on three times.

And there are other pain in the backside characters, not just the “frog”, there are some birds and a dinosaur type thing as well 😡

Ben – you have no idea what you are talking about.

Before all this woolly-minded do-gooding started, when there was corporal punishment in schools, kids did not cheek teachers, kids did not attack teachers, kids did not run riot and out of control. That all started when the do-gooders and human rights brigade said that kids must never be disciplined (how can they learn right from wrong if they are not disciplined?) and kids must never be punished for their crimes and criminals must not endure hardship and must live in better conditions than law abiding people.

Society cannot function by putting the rights of the criminals before the rights of people to go about their business without fear of being attacked in the street and filmed on some oik’s mobile phone. Society can only function when there is respect for authority and discipline.

I have seen both extremes when I was at school. One school I went to had the do gooder approach and lessons were a nightmare with teachers being attacked and other kids threatened with knives because the yobs were allowed free rein. When I left that hell hole and went to a different school, there was corporal punishment, you stood up when a teacher entered a room, you did not cheek teachers and you certainly did not attack them. And I know which school I preferred and it wasn’t the do gooder one where yobs ran riot.

And all the human rights/civil liberties people ever chelp on about is how yobs should not be degraded, how yobs should not be punished, how yobs should have freedom to do what they wish.
