I’ve drunk Belgian Christmas beer in June and drank Belgian Easter beer in September. I thought hot cross buns were available all the time now?

Sitting in that, with that big thing above, would be like sitting in a dentist chair. Looks very claustrophobic.

It’s Royal Mail they’ve sold off, the Post Office is a separate company.

“As part of the Postal Services Act 2011, Post Office Ltd became independent of Royal Mail Group on 1 April 2012”.

Alot of cyclists have a massive chip on their shoulder and think they are above the law. I could imagine if a cyclist who was doing this was injured they would blame anyone but themselves. Where I live, the vast majority of cyclists are idiots who speed along the pavements, ignore red traffic lights, ram pushchairs if they are not moved out of their way (I have seen this happen myself). If I saw a cyclist come off as they were riding along the pavement, I would be the last person to offer to help them because I would think ‘serves them right’.

Is there a Geoffrey deHavilland Jr biography?

That is a good list, it has given me some ideas! “Test Pilot” by Neville Duke and “John Derry” are two of my favourite pilot-related books. I will track down some of the other books in your list.

It sounds like a virus Avast commonly detects, and it has been around for a while. I did a Google search on it, the two links above are just a small example of what I found.

I have a few ideas on this. As I’m researching my family history, I would like to meet all my ancestors to find out how they lived, what work they did and what they were like.

I’d like to go back to my childhood and see my Grandparents again (they are dead now). Also to relive some fun holidays we had when I was little, in the family-owned caravan in Flamborough.

I’d like to go back to the times before WW1 and WW2 to warn people what was going to happen.

I’d like to go back and see Victorian times, I loved doing about the Victorians at school and I’d like to see what it was really like.

One big favourite idea would be to go back to prehistoric times and see what dinosaurs and extinct mammals were like, and see how different the planet looked when Antarctica was a rainforest. I was a keen fossil hunter when I was a kid and I found lots of fossilised bark on an old coal tip. I’d like to be able to go and see what those trees were like and see what would become Barnsley when those ancient trees were growing there.

On the subject of a bird shortage because of their nests being raided and eggs eaten and young birds killed, why doesn’t anyone blame the grey squirrel? They are vermin and do hell of alot of damage, they raid nests and kill the young birds, but because they are, supposedly, “cute” people are silent about the damage they do.
