No Guarav, I haven’t taken photos from the station. This was my first ever visit to BHX, but I will remember your tip for next time I am there – thanks!
I am looking at BHX in June instead of MAN for my spotting, but depends on the earliest time I can get there (earliest time at MAN is 10:15 direct train from Scarborough – with BHX I have to change trains in York).
Wannabe pilot – apart from the obvious one there, my highlight of the spot was the Q400, that was the only one of the type I saw, just as I was waiting for SNBA to make an appearance to take off. It was also a change for me to see the EK 777, normally at MAN I have only seen their A330s, though I don’t rave about the 777 because I don’t see anything beautiful or unusual about it as a type.
I can recommend BHX for the unusual, especially Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan carriers, but they weren’t there on the day I was, so I was very disappointed about that because the other airports I am spotting at this year (namely Manchester and Brussels) don’t see those carriers. Next year we will fly from BHX again because I just loved it there. Wish I could go more often!
Thanks for your comments, and thanks MarkL for the reg of the ERJ, I wasn’t able to see it properly.
A load of lucky devils about to take off to Brussels!
BHX – I love it!!
Beautiful sight:D
Europe’s greatest airline:D
A British Airways ARJ gets airborne.
From the side, the “Q400” looks badly-proportioned and ungainly, but from the front this aircraft is a beauty. This is the Flybe one again.
I am proud of this photo, not because it’s a rare aircraft, but because after seeing the Dash 8-100, and the regional jets of Flybe, I had given up on seeing the Dash 8-Q400, and then this taxied into view.
Another A320 of MyTravelLite.
I waited hours for them, and I wasn’t disappointed!
