Hi Phil,
I think the Horrible History team do a tremendous job on the TV series which my wife and I (we both love history I as a researcher, she as a Librarian who in a former life did Archaeology) enjoy just as much as our kids 9 and 12.
I can also add that our kids also enjoy the books as well.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Thanks All,
I’m glad you liked the pictures I enjoy capturing them.
Thanks Simmo for noticing my error I have now fixed that, I’m not sure why I was under the impression that the HARS Catalina was a Canadian built Canso.
As to missing the day, unfortunately the Cat didn’t put on a display since one of the engines was playing up it was still fun to see it though.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Hi PhilEAF92,

Hi Flygirl,
Great shots the standouts for me have to be the last Meteor shot you posted and the Vulcan and wing walkers, thanks for sharing.

Hi Neil,
Terrific shots especially the Corsair, thanks for sharing.

Hi Flygirl and dogman,
Thank-you I’m glad you liked the pictures.
Nice capture dogman, I have to say the Meteor looks great in RAF colours, I can assure you Sir Winston is still looked after in the Antipodes and his English origin is not forgotten.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Hi Xarray,
Nice shot, thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Hi Phil,
Lovely Jags plus the Harrier, I enjoyed looking at them.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for that information it is most helpful.
Cheers,

Thanks Wieesso,
I am aware of those pictures as captured by the American Colony (Jerusalem) Photo Department, what I am trying to ultimately nail down is when they were taken. So I am interested in when K4308 was delivered to 6 Squadron RAF and when it left 6 Sqn.
I would also argue that Tenente Mario Visintini is just one of three Regio Aeronautica pilots from 412a Squadriglia who can lay claim to the destruction of K4308 at Gaz Regeb, Sudan during the 12th of December 1940 along with three other Hardy aircraft of ‘B’ Flight, 237 Squadron at the time. The other pilots were Capitano Antonio Raffi and Tenente Cacciavillani all of whom were flying Fiat CR.42 Falco aircraft.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Thanks Ian,
That’s interesting, I thought that this aircraft was extant with 6 Squadron during 1938 and was with 30 Squadron before that. Yet it is listed as being delivered between May and July 1940?
Cheers,
Daniel.
Hi All,
Sorry about the images going missing I have had some problems with Google, I will put the images back up on my post sometime during today.
Cheers,
Daniel.
